Tang Continues Domination

Level 4 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Danny Tang raised from early position and was called by Dominik Nitsche on the button and Richard Yong in the big blind. On a {k-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop the trio checked and the {10-Clubs} turn was checked to Tang, who bet 175,000 into 270,000. Nitsche and Yong both called and they headed to the {j-Hearts} on the river.

Once Yong had checked, Tang announced a bet of 900,000 and that instantly forced folds from Nitsche and Yong.

Shortly after, Nitsche opened to 100,000 and Yong in the cutoff was the only caller. The {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop and {10-Hearts} turn were checked. Nitsche announced a bet of 75,000 on the {a-Clubs} river and Yong called. Nitsche revealed {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for aces and nines, which ended up winning the pot.

Adams Gets Caught Bluffing

Level 4 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Timothy Adams raised it up to 70,000 in the cutoff and was called by Sam Trickett and Kahle Burns in the blinds. The flop came {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the action checked to Adams who continued for 60,000. Trickett called and Burns stepped aside.

The turn brought the {a-Hearts} and Trickett checked again. Adams fired a second barrel of 240,000 and Trickett stuck around to see the {j-Clubs} on the river. Trickett checked for the third time and Adams dropped in a bet of 600,000. Trickett made the call and Adams showed {10-Spades}{7-Spades} for air. Trickett tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for two pair and scooped the pot.

Aldemir Gets Value From Yong

Level 3 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

A raise to 60,000 by Koray Aldemir resulted in a three-bet, as Richard Yong on the button made it 225,000 total to go. Only Aldemir tossed in calling chips and checked the {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop, which prompted a continuation bet worth 125,000 by Yong.

Once Aldemir called, both headed to the {7-Clubs} turn and the action went check, check. The {9-Hearts} fell on the river and Aldemir grabbed a T-500,000 chip, announcing a bet of 175,000. Yong only mulled over his decision for a few seconds and called.

Aldemir turned over the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for two pair and Yong mucked {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the same two pair with an inferior kicker.

"I had six-seven," Danny Tang in the big blind exclaimed.

Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

On the tail end of a bigger pot between Anatoly Filatov and Christoph Vogelsang, the former faced a bet of 750,000 and eventually released his cards into the muck. As a result, Filatov dropped well below the starting stack while Vogelsang continued to climb.

In the very next hand, Dominik Nitsche opened to 90,000 and Richard Yong made the call on the button.

"How much did you start with?" Danny Tang in the big blind inquired.

"Less than four," Nitsche replied and Tang called swiftly after. The {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop was checked to Yong and a bet of 100,000 was called by Tang only. The {9-Clubs} turn was checked by Tang and a bet of 300,000 by Yong instantly won the pot.

Vogelsang then opened the button to 65,000 and Tang called in the small blind, Chin Wei Lim did so from the big blind. Tang check-raised a 70,000-continuation bet of Vogelsang on the {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop to claim the pot without resistance.

Phua and Foxen Heading in Opposite Directions

Level 3 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Alex Foxen raised it up to 65,000 on the button and James Chen three-bet to 250,000 in the small blind. Foxen called and the flop came {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}. Chen led out for 225,000 and Foxen called to see the {q-Diamonds} on the turn. Chen fired out another 800,000 and Foxen quickly folded.

A couple of hands later, Foxen raised to 60,000 from under the gun and Paul Phua called from the small blind. The flop fell {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Phua check-called a bet of 40,000 from Foxen.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} and both players checked to the {6-Spades} on the river. Phua led out for 150,000 and Foxen looked him up. Phua tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades} and Foxen dumped his cards in the muck.

Moments earlier, Phua was seen raking in a massive pot after what appeared to be a double up through Adrian Mateos, leaving the Spaniard on the shortest stack in the room.
