Break Time

Level 4 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

After four levels of play, the entire field size of 21 players still remains in contention. They are now heading on another 15-minute break.

One for Foxen

Level 4 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

James Chen won a bigger pot off Rainer Kempe while Adrian Mateos and Alex Foxen remained the shortest stacks on their table, trying to earn vital pots to get back into contention.

Foxen battled with Orpen Kisacikoglu in the final hand of the level and they created a pot of 1.1 million to the {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades} river. Kisacikoglu had check-called twice and now faced a barrel worth 690,000 by Foxen, who had few chips behind.

Kisacikoglu ended up using four time bank extensions and folded.

Aldemir Pays Off Lim

Level 4 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Koray Aldemir raised it up from under the gun and Chin Wei Lim defended from the big blind. The flop came {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Lim check-called a bet of 55,000 from Aldemir.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Lim led out for 110,000 this time. Aldemir called and the {4-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Lim pushed out another bet of 340,000 and Aldemir flicked in a chip to call. Lim turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a flush and Aldemir mucked.

Tang Wins Big Pot From Aldemir

Level 4 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

A raise by Richard Yong resulted in a three-bet by Danny Tang and Koray Aldemir in the big blind four-bet to 850,000. Yong got out of the way while Tang called to create an already big pot to the {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop. Aldemir bet 390,000 and Tang came along to see the {j-Clubs} on the turn, which was checked through by both players.

After the {q-Clubs} river, Aldemir checked once more and Tang now bet 550,000. A reluctant call by Aldemir followed and Tang turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a set of jacks as the winning hand.

That pot propelled Tang up to more than two times the starting stack, cementing his status as the early chip leader of the event.

Bad Flop for Badziakouski

Level 4 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski opened to 75,000 in early position and was called by Cary Katz on his left. Matthias Eibinger three-bet to 285,000 in the cutoff and the action was back on Badziakouski. He stuck in a four-bet to 700,000 which got Katz to fold but Eibinger called.

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Badziakouski opted to slow things down with a check. Eibinger announced a bet of 465,000 and that was enough to get Badziakouski to lay his hand down.

Level 4 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a three-bet pot between Orpen Kisacikoglu and Rainer Kempe on the button, the flop showed {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Kisacikoglu checked to Kempe, who made it 300,000 and received a call.

One hand later, Alex Foxen opened to 70,000 and Paul Phua called in the small blind. Kisacikoglu made it three-ways to the {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop that was checked. The {k-Spades} turn was checked to Foxyen and his bet of 90,000 won the pot.

Timothy Adams

Over on the feature table, Timothy Adams raised to 70,000 with the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} in the hijack and Mikita Badziakouski called with the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} in the big blind.
