Lengthy Hand Results in a Huge Double Up for Vrakas

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Georgios Vrakas
Georgios Vrakas

Faramarz Safari opened to 32,000 in the hijack and was called by Viktor Walter in the cutoff and Georgios Vrakas in the big blind. The flop fell {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} which stirred up plenty of action and a long time to do so.

Vrakas checked and Safari continued for 58,000. Walter called and Vrakas thought for a moment before raising to 207,000. Safari went into the tank for nearly five minutes before he shoved all in for 465,000. Now it was Walter in the tank for well over five minutes as well. Vrakas eventually called the clock and Walter ditched his cards to the muck. Vrakas quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

Georgios Vrakas: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Faramarz Safari: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} to give Safari a set of kings and eliminate a few of Vrakas' outs. However, the {3-Clubs} still came on the river and Vrakas made the nut flush to double up through Safari, leaving him on crumbs.

Rudenkov: The Demise of Kempe

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Rainer Kempe may have folded in Artur Rudenkov's shove in the previous hand, however he picked the wrong time to shove on him.

Rudenkov opened from the button and Kempe shoved his small blind, with Rudenkov calling and opening his cards, before he even got a count from the dealer. Kempe saw his opponent open {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and was just waiting with his cards facing down. "I called", said Rudenkov to Kempe who replied, "I know, i am just giving you time to think about it and take back your decision". Rudenkov laughed and Kempe showed his cards to send the hand to showdown.

Artur Rudenkov: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Rainer Kempe: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Kempe is out.
