Approaching the Bubble

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

As we are only 8 players away from the money, players seem to be taking their time before making the decision, without having any excessive abuse of the time so far.

In one of the tables Tolga Karakaya opened from middle position to 13,000 and got a call from Rolf Van Brug from the cutoff and Andrea Radicchi from the button.

The flop was {2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and action checked to Radicchi who took the chance and bet 17,000.

Karakaya made it 45,000 getting a fold from Van Brug and Radicchi and winning the pot.

Curcu With Spectacular Hero-Call

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action was on a river of {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} with two players still in the hand.

With around 50,000 chips in the middle, Omid Novin bet 26,500 and action was on Sebastian Curcu. He tanked for a good five minutes or so with the bubble only a handful of eliminations away.

Eventually he called, and Novin shook his hands and mucked his hand face-down. Curcu appeared relieved and turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for king-high and took down the pot.

"What a boss," said a tablemate, while another applauded the call.

Iuliano Shoves at the Bubble

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

There were already 45,000 in the middle and Simone Iuliano bet 13,500 at a flop of {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Maxence Guyomarch made it 37,000 and action was back to Iuliano who went deep into the tank.

Few minutes have passed and another player asked for time. At the last second Iuliano shoved for around 100,000 and Guyomarch had to fold.

Iuliano showed a {q-Clubs} and collected the pot right before the bubble.

Wyraz Bubbles The Opener

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Grzegorz Wyraz
Grzegorz Wyraz

Grzegorz Wyraz was all in blind from the small blind for just 1,000. There were six limps to a flop of {5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades} and all six players checked.

The turn was the {2-Clubs}. The big blind bet 7,000 and Jaroslaw Kosmaty called. It folded to Ana Iordache who shoved for 27,500. The big blind folded and Kosmaty called putting two opponents at risk.

Once all hands were completed, the cards were turned over.

Grzegorz Wyraz: {j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Ana Iordache: {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Jaroslaw Kosmaty: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Kosmaty held a flush draw ahead of the set of Iordache and the two pair of Wyraz. The river was the {4-Spades} and Wyraz was eliminated, with Iordache doubling through Kosmaty.

Kefalas Wins One Right Before the Break

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Johannes Thoni opened for 13,000 from the hijack and Athanasios Kefalas called from the cutoff as did the player in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Thoni bet 17,000. Kefalas called and the big blind folded.

The turn was a {5-Hearts} and Thoni fired 30,000 this time. Kefalas raised all-in covering his opponent who had 75,000 behind.

Thoni thought for a couple of minutes before letting his hand go.
