Nedelcu Dethrones Schmidt's Queens
Level 5
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Narcis Nedelcu and Fabian Schmidt were heads-up on a flop of 4♠4♦2♦ when Schmidt bet 6,500 from the cutoff. Nedelcu then moved all in and Schmidt tossed in his last 15,000.
Fabian Schmidt: Q♥Q♣
Narcis Nedelcu: 8♣4♣
Schmidt had found a hand to get his short-stack in the middle with, but Nedelcu had flopped trips and left him needing help to avoid elimination. The board ran out 9♦A♥ and Schmidt couldn't improve as he was sent to the rail.
