Miniucchi Takes From Brockmann

Level 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On a flop of 4510, Henrik Brockmann was on the button and called a 3,500 bet from Marcello Miniucchi, who was in the cutoff.

Minuicchi then check-called a 5,200 bet from Brockmann after the J fell on the turn.

Both players decided to check down on the J river and Minuicchi turned over Q10 for jacks and tens. Brockmann mucked and the dealer pushed the pot to Munuicchi.

Miscikowski Gets an Early Christmas Present

Level 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
David Miscikowski
David Miscikowski

Christmas may be 44 days away, but David Miscikowski received an early gift to boost his Main Event stack.

Erguen Sertkan opened to 3,800 from middle position and was called by Miscikowski and Halil Coknez from the hijack and button.

Sertkan continued for 6,900 on the 432 flop and was called by both opponents.

Sertkan fired out another 6,000 on the 10 turn. This time, only Miscikowski called.

The 3 river saw Sertkan bet 12,600, leaving him with just over 25,000 behind. Miscikowski was the bigger stack and put his opponent all in. Sertkan snap-called for his tournament life.

Miscikowski had a full house with his 22. Sertkan had ace-high with his AJ and appeared to have tilted away any hopes of the Main Event title..

Wieckenberg Pays It Off

Level 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Jan Wieckenberg and Nicola Danselmo had gotten into a blind-on-blind battle and created a 20,100 chip pot in the process. The board was dealt up until the turn and read J283 when Wieckenberg checked from the small blind and called the subsequent 10,000 bet of Danselmo.

The 4 river then rolled off and Wieckenberg checked once more. Danselmo opted for a sizing of 16,400 chips this time and Wieckenberg slammed in the call after some deliberation.

Danselmo showed KJ for top pair and Wieckenber nodded in acknowledgement before sending his cards to the muck.

Palma Begins His Comeback

Level 5 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Nick Palma
Nick Palma

So far, It hasn't been smooth sailing for Nick Palma in Day 1b of the WSOP Europe Main Event. The American was down to 15,700 and had self-admittedly not won a pot all day.

His fortune looked to be changing after he opened to 1,600 from the cutoff and was called by Levan Rcheulishvili from the big blind.

Rcheulishvili check-called for 2,000 on the QJ3 flop which brought in the 9 turn. Rcheulishvili checked again and Palma moved all in for 12,100. Rcheulishvili thought it over for a few moments and called.

Nick Palma: AQ
Levan Rcheulishvili: Q2

Palma had the superior pair of queens and remained best after the 9 river to double up.

Fabian Schmidt: QQ
Narcis Nedelcu: 84

Schmidt had found a hand to get his short-stack in the middle with, but Nedelcu had flopped trips and left him needing help to avoid elimination. The board ran out 9A and Schmidt couldn't improve as he was sent to the rail.
