Hanami Has The Right Read

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Ceyhan Berand opened to 12,000 and Christophe Panetti called. Leon Sturm then squeezed to 50,000 in the cutoff and Zaki Hanami cold-called on the button, Berand called and Panetti folded.

They checked the 1043 flop and Berand then bet the 3 turn for 35,000, only Hanami called. Berand bet another 75,000 on the K river and Hanami tank-called.

"Queen high," Berand announced before reluctantly revealing his QJ. Hanami won the pot with the 99 to leave Panetti somewhat surprised.

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Hal Rotholz, Andrea Radicchi, and Agostino Scozzari had built a pot of around 170,000 as they went three-handed to the 995 flop.

Radicchi, in the small blind, then led out for 40,000. Rotholz came back with a raise to 121,000 under the gun.

Scozzari quickly folded, while Radicchi gave it some thought before also mucking as Rotholz took the pot.

Amsellem Puts Lampropulos to the Test

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jacob Amsellem
Jacob Amsellem

Paulius Vaitiekunas opened to 12,000 from under the gun. Jacob Amsellem called from one seat over and Renat Bohdanov did the same from the cutoff. Maria Lampropulos three-bet to 65,000 from the button and only Amsellem called.

Amsellem checked-raised to 80,000 on the K64 flop after Lampropulos bet 28,000. The latter called.

Amsellem then emptied the clip and jammed for 352,000 and Lampropulos went deep into the tank for over five moments. In the end she returned her cards to the dealer and conceded the pot.

"Show the bluff," cried the other players at the table.

Amsellem offered a card to Lampropulos and she turned over the 3 which drew some "oooo's."

Amsellem then showed the 3 to show he had taken the ambitious line with just a pair of threes.

Chun Doubles Through Scozzari

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Hal Rotholz mentioned he would have called but it was instead Agostino Scozzari who looked up the preflop shove by Jun Beum Chun for 88,000 with the QJ. Those were live against the A10 of Chun but neither player connected with the K8824 board for the ace to play.

Ilavsky Back to Start

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Fausto Tantillo raised from middle position and Fausto Tantillo three-bet his short stack of 44,000 in from the small blind. Tantillo made the call and the cards went on their backs.

Martin Ilavsky: K9
Fausto Tantillo: AJ

Tsang Busts Zaskodny With Queen-High

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Anson Tsang
Anson Tsang

Lukas Zaskodny, Anson Tsang, and Bruno Desimoni went to the flop of 3108 when Zaskodny bet 20,000 in the cutoff.

Tsang then raised to 53,000 in the big blind and Desimoni folded. Zaskodny, though, moved all in for around 150,000 and Tsang called.

Lukas Zaskodny: J9
Anson Tsang: Q2

Both players had draws, Zaskodny with a straight draw and Tsang chasing a flush. The A turn and 3 river didn't improve either player and Tsang won the pot with queen-high to send Zaskodny to the rail.
