Palatzky Shoves on Cho; Jaros Also on the Rise

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Marc Palatzky
Marc Palatzky

Heads-up on a flop of 975, Wooram Cho bet 5,000 from the hijack before Marc Palatzky raised to 14,000 in the cutoff.

Cho called and both players checked the 7 turn. The river came the 8 and Cho led out for 25,000.

Palatzky then slid forward a tower of blue 5,000 chips, enough to put Cho all in for his last 30,000, and Cho quickly mucked as Palatzky moved up past 300,000 with that pot.

At an adjacent table, Patrik Jaros has also built a stack of around 140,000 on his second bullet.

Smuskovics Denied a Knockout Against Kim

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Vadim Kim repotted to 7,200 preflop for Daniel Smuskovics to call and they headed to the 752 flop. Once Kim bet the pot for a big portion of his stack. Smuskovics moved all-in and Kim sigh-called after plenty of consideration.

Vadim Kim: AQJ10
Daniel Smuskovics: J1075

Smuskovics' two pair were way out in front, yet he had to settle for a chop on the 8 turn and 9 river runout to stay flabbergasted.

Stefanelli Catches a Bluff to Beat Israelashvili

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Soon after their previous encounter, Bruno Stefanelli and Roland Israelashvili built a pot of around 30,000 on a completed board of 4K962.

Israelashvili, in the big blind, then led out for 20,000 as Stefanelli went into the tank from middle position. He eventually called and Israelashvili instantly mucked his hand, allowing Stefanelli to collect the pot without a showdown.

Stroke On the Ropes

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Five ways to a flop of A88, Michael Rodrigues bet 2,500 on the button. He earned several folds and Shawn Stroke was the only caller.

Both players checked the 3 turn on which Rodrigues waved to see the stack of his opponent.

Rodrigues also checked behind the J river and Stroke announced a jack, flashing the J10 only. Rodrigues had that beat with the KKQ3 for kings up and Stroke mucked, dropping to an even shorter stack.

Palatzky Leads; Stefanelli Gets Value From Israelashvili

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Four ways to the 1043K2 river, the action checked to Bruno Stefanelli on the button and he bet 15,000. Marc Palatzky folded out of the big blind whereas Roland Israelashvili reluctantly called from the under-the-gun position.

Stefanelli rolled over the A653 for the nuts and Israelashvili mucked.

Palatzky appears to be the current chip leader in the field with more than five and a half times the starting stack.

Boatman Fills Up to Bust Two More

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Barny Boatman
Barny Boatman

Barny Boatman has been on a tear so far on Day 1, and his latest victims were Aleksandar Stefanovic and Hok Yiu Lee.

On a flop of 94Q, Stefanovic moved all in for 17,000, Lee got his last 30,000 in the middle from early position, and Boatman had them both at risk in the small blind.

Aleksandar Stefanovic: AKQ8
Hok Yiu Lee: KKJ9
Barny Boatman: A544

Stefanovic had top pair, Lee had a pair of kings, but both were behind Boatman's set of fours. The 9 turn gave Boatman a full house, and neither Stefanovic or Lee could improve on the Q river as Boatman busted both players.

The river came the Q and Erbland missed his draw, heading to the rail for the third time.

Carmi Cannot Bluff Rcheulishvili

Eran Carmi
Eran Carmi

Heads-up to the 8744 turn, Eran Carmi check-raised from 4,000 to 9,000 and Levan Rcheulishvili called in the cutoff. The 6 fell on the river and Carmi moved all-in with his short stack.

Rcheulishvili called and Carmi already gathered his belongings as he rolled over the KJ87. That was no good as Rcheulishvili held AAA10 for the ace-high flush.

Tsang Doubles Through Eldabach

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Anson Tsang
Anson Tsang

Anson Tsang three-bet the pot and Dorel Eldabach came along as they headed to the Q76 flop. Tsang bet 5,000 and Eldabach moved all-in to get a quick call by his opponent.

Anson Tsang: AAQQ
Dorel Eldabach: Q1097

"Woah, what is that shit?" Eldabach grinned when he saw his top two pair and gutshot crushed.

Tsang was rooting for an eight that would give Eldabach a straight but held on for the double on the 5 turn and 7 river.
