Hissou Still Near the Top

Hugues Girard had open-raised from middle position when Sirzat Hissou put in a three-bet to 65,000 in the hijack. Girard called to the 7103 flop, where he check-called the 80,000 continuation-bet of Hissou.

The 10 turn saw Girard check again but this time he folded to a bet of 150,000 from Hissou

Karpus' Tournament is Over

When it folded around to Serhii Karpus im the small blind he shoved his last 100,000 into the middle with just Alberto Stegeman to get through in the big blind. Stegeman called to put Karpus at risk.

Karpus needed to hold with ace-high if he was to have a chance of making the money in the Main Event. However, the dealer put out a board of Q9106J which gave Stegeman the winning hand with a king-high straight, sending Karpus out the door.

Zamani Gives Kudzmanas a Warning

Martin Zamani opened to 22,000 from early position and was called by Marius Kudzmanas from the cutoff.

"Be careful the cameras are here," said Zamani. "Well, a camera is here," he added.

Zamani continued for 25,000 on the A82 flop and was called.

The 6 turn checked through to the 9 river and Zamani promptly check-folded to a bet of 57,000.

With three players seeing a board of Q562 and around 90,000 in the middle, Iman Ghashayar checked from the big blind and Shaun Deeb bet 31,000 from under the gun. Josef Gulas folded from the cutoff while Ghashayar made the call.

On the A river Ghashayar checked and Deeb bet 75,000. This time Ghashayar opted to fold and Deeb took the pot.

Hrabec Fires Big on the Turn

Niklas Astedt bet 25,000 from early position on a flop of A78. Roman Hrabec called from the cutoff, but Stanislav Zegal folded from the big blind.

Astedt chose to check the J turn, which prompted Hrabec to start counting out a bet of around 250,000. Astedt instantly folded and Hrabec dragged in the pot.
