Frederic Marechal raised to 400,000 in the hijack before Luc Ramos moved all in for 3,800,000 in the cutoff. Marechal turned around to look at the clock and spent a few minutes in the tank until he called to put Ramos at risk.
Luc Ramos: Q♦Q♠
Frederic Marechal: 10♣10♥
Ramos had Marechal dominated as he ran over to his rail to await the flop, which came J♥A♣2♥. The rest of the 9♠5♦ board was safe for his queens and Ramos doubled up.
Luigi Pignataro shoved all in for 2,100,000 in the hijack. The action folded to Gary Tatavarti in the big blind, who quickly called to put Pignataro at risk.
Luigi Pignataro: 8♥8♦
Gary Tatavarti: A♣9♠
The K♠K♣Q♦ flop brought some counterfeit outs for Tatavarti, but neither the 6♥ turn nor 4♠ river improved his hand as Pignataro doubled up to roughly 18 big blinds.
Iman Ghashayar made a raise to 400,000 in the hijack and saw Ivan Banic call on the button.
Ghashayar continued for 375,000 on the 7♥A♣K♦ flop, being called by Banic once more.
The 3♦ turn and A♦ river were then checked through. Ghashayar tabled K♥Q♦ for two pair, but Banic had rivered trips with A♠J♣ and he was awarded the pot.

Plus, hear about highlights from the WPT Foundation Russell Westbrook's 4th Annual Poker Night, remembering Mike Sexton on what would have been his 77th birthday, and a preview of upcoming WPT stops (Chad will be at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal at the end of October).
Finally, Chad and Mike, a two-time online player of the year, talk about the bombshell article on Bloomberg exposing a Russian poker bot farm and the ramifications it could have on the industry. Learn about those stories and more in the latest episode of the PokerNews Podcast.

Frederik Thiemer opened from early position to 500,000 and Luc Ramos shoved for 4,250,000 out of the small blind. Candido Cappiello made the call from the big blind and Thiemer folded.
Luc Ramos: J♥J♦
Candido Cappiello: A♠J♣
Ramos just had to avoid and ace, but the A♣Q♥K♥ flop put Cappiello in the lead with top pair. Ramos needed to find the only remaining jack to move in front or a ten to hit a straight and chop the pot. The one-outer J♠ on the turn was the perfect card for Ramos as he improved to a set. There was no ace or ten on the river as the dealer put out the 9♣, meaning Ramos had doubled up through Cappiello.
