Grassmann Takes a Hit but Roars Back to 12k

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a board of 5J73, Bruno Mota shoved all-in with 93, holding a pair and a flush draw. Patrick Grassmann snap-called with 77, having flopped a set of sevens. But the river delivered the 8, completing Mota's flush and leaving Grassmann with just 4,000 chips—crumbs.

However, Grassmann managed to double up in the very next hand when he was in the big blind. He pushed all-in against an open raise from Safwane Bahri, who made the call.

Safwane Bahri: K8

The board ran out J7Q5A, giving Grassmann a straight and saving his tournament life.

Not done yet, Grassmann pushed all-in in the next two hands, stealing the blinds each time, and managed to climb back to nearly 12,000 chips.

Aikeremu Takes From Trast

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

John Trast opened from under the gun to 2,000. Action folded around to Aisikaer Aikeremu who defended the big blind.

The 965 flop was checked around before Aikeremu check-called a bet of 2,200 on the J turn. The 2 river was checked down and Aikeremu's K6 was good enough to take the pot.

Enders' Queens Crush Klezys—No Love for Jacks

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

After Adrian State opened the action with a raise to 1,600, Kasparas Klezys responded with a three-bet to 5,500. However, Peteris Enders fired back with a four-bet to 15,000, which only Klezys decided to call.

The flop came down 873, and Enders, first to act, pushed all-in with his remaining stack of 33,700. Klezys, clearly uncomfortable with the decision, eventually made the call, revealing JJ. Enders flipped over QQ, and his queens held strong as the turn and river brought A2, allowing him to double up and leave Klezys disappointed.

Epparia Doubles Through Cohen

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Yehuda Cohen opened from the cutoff to 1,800. Ramana Epparla called on the button and Flaviano Cammisuli defended the big blind.

The AJ6 flop was checked around. Cammisuli checked the Q turn before Cohen bet 2,000. Epparla called and Cammisuli folded.

The 8 river brought an out of turn check from Epparla, which prompted Cohen to bet 4,000. Epparla then raised to 8,000 before Cohen put him all in for 48,500. Epparla called and showed QJ for two pair. Cohen's hand was revealed to be 53 for a missed flush draw bluff.

Dufouleur Dances Out as Jobin’s Aces Take Center Stage

Lois Dufouleur
Lois Dufouleur

With around 10,000 already in the pot and the board showing 763, Lois Dufouleur checked to Yannick Jobin, who placed a bet of 2,700. After some consideration, Dufouleur decided to go all-in, and Jobin quickly snap-called after glancing at his cards.

Dufouleur revealed 1010, but he was behind Jobin‘s AA. The J on the turn didn’t change the situation, and although the A on the river gave Jobin a nice set, he had already secured the win and eliminated Dufouleur from the tournament.
