Hugues Girard Eliminated in 11th Place (€3,200)

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Hugues Girard
Hugues Girard

Paco Kaplan opened from the cutoff to 125,000 and John Armbrust called on the button before Hugues Girard shoved for 465,000 from the small blind. Lorenzo Arduini then moved all in from the big blind for a little under 800,000, which got Kaplan to fold, but Armbrust called.

Hugues Girard: 77 All in
Lorenzo Arduini: AJ All in
John Armbrust: 99

Armbrust had the covering stack and could eliminate two players in one hand if his pocket nines would hold up. Arduini had the shortest stack and third-best hand, and needed a lot of help to dig his way out of this one. In the end, it was Arduini who scooped the pot as he paired his jack on the 210J52 runout, which eliminated Girard.

Not long after, the action fodled to John Armbrust in the small blind who shoved, and Girard snap-called from the big blind for 355,000.

Hugues Girard: K7 All in
