Shuts Slips Down Further

Level 2 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Picking up the action on the 9729 turn, Filip Lovric in the big blind checked and Maksim Shuts bet 8,000 on the button. Lovric came along and then checked the 4 on the river. Shuts checked his cards once more and then knuckled it back to first get shown the AQ by Lovric followed by the KQ.

The ace-high flush was good enough to win the pot for the Swede.

Casagrande Wins River Raising War

Level 1 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

A pot of 1,600 had accumulated in the middle, in a hand between Harald Casagrande on the button and Robert Cowen in the small blind.

Cowen checked, and Casagrande slid out a bet of 1,000. Cowen responded with a check-raise to 5,000, and Casagrande then pumped it up further to 12,000.

Cowen thought it through, and despite saying "I really want to raise you", elected to fold.

"Quads?", enquired Cowen, but Casagrande just shrugged and scooped in the pot.

Pansier Busts Javakhishvili to Start Hot

Level 1 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Nino Pansier

A pot of 24,000 was in the middle, on a board of KQJ, in a hand between Vakhtang Javakhishvili in the small blind, and Nino Pansier under the gun.

Javakhishvili led out with a bet of 7,000, and Pansier called.

On the 10 turn, Javakhishvili checked. Pansier fired out a pot-sized bet, covering his opponent's remaining stack of around 40,000, and Javakhishvili quickly called.

Vakhtang Javakhishvili: AK1010 All in
Nino Pansier: A8104

Javakhishvili had flopped the straight, as had Pansier, but Pansier was free-rolling with outs to the diamond draw. Javakhishvili could also potentially fill up to a full house with his set of tens.

Sure enough, the 9 hit on the river to send Paniser another big pot, and Javakhishvili to the rail early.

A massive pot of 120,000 had developed by the river in a hand between Maksim Shuts under the gun and Nino Pansier in early position, with the board reading Q746A.

Shuts checked, and after a period of deliberation, Pansier moved all in for 44,000.

Shuts went into the tank, and after around 90 seconds of thought, shook his head ruefully, and sent his cards to the muck. An early 300 big blind pot to Pansier.
