A small but high-quality field of 41 entrants assembled today at King's Resort, Rozvadov, to indulge in the great game of Pot-Limit Omaha, with Event #10: €10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty offering a guarantee of €1,000,000, and a further opportunity for players to grab a coveted World Series of Poker Europe bracelet.

There were no fewer than eight bracelets held by the field, which included 2023 WSOPE Main Event winner Max Neugebauer, Zdenek Zizka, Jan-Peter Jachtmann, Robert Cowen, Nikolaos Lampropoulos and Dennis Weiss, all of whom bagged for Day 2, although some would be required to dip into their coffers more than once.

When play finished after nine 40-minute levels, only 21 players remained seated, with Dutchman Bouwe Claushuis sitting atop the standings on 455,000. He holds a healthy lead over Krasimir Yankov (350,500), with Lampropoulos (335,500) completing the podium places.

However, with late registration open until the end of Level 12 in Day 2, the field is expected to be significantly bolstered tomorrow.

Claushuis has recorded tournament results of over $200,000, and will be gunning for his first bracelet and a potential career-best score. Yankov is seventh on the Bulgarian all-time money list, and has a win in a €10,000 Omaha High Roller side event at the 2024 WSOPE on his resume, among over $4,200,000 in career earnings. His career-best score is a third-place finish in the WSOPE Main Event in 2018 for €480,028.

Lampropoulos is sixth on the Greek all-time money list with over $2,000,000 in earnings, and won his bracelet in the $25,000 Omaha High Roller at WSOP Paradise in 2023 for $871,600. (All figures courtesy of The Hendon Mob).

Day 1 Action

Nino Pansier got off to a hot start, jamming the river to take a 300 big blind pot in the second hand, before busting Vakhtang Javakhishvili in the very next. Pansier proceeded to claim a double knockout, and rode that early momentum to bag for Day 2.

Claushuis was aggressive throughout the day, and his stack began to take shape when he left Weiss with crumbs, and then tangled with Yankov. Lampropoulos' stack started to build when he coolered Neugebauer, and he went on to claim a double knockout.

Yankov continued to dance with Claushuis, and earnt a top-three stack after eliminating Michael Tabarelli toward the end of play.

Day 2 Information

Day 2 is scheduled to kick off Tuesday, September 30, at 2 p.m. local time, with late registration open for three 40-minute levels at the start of the day. Late arrivals will sit down to a 100,000 starting stack, and play will begin at Level 10, with blinds of 1,500/3,000, with a 3,000 big blind ante.

Mystery bounties will come into play once the field is reduced to 20%, with prize pool and payout details to be confirmed once late registration is closed. Play will continue until a winner is crowned and the bracelet is awarded.

End of Day 1 Chip Counts (full)

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Day 1 Completed

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The final four hands of the night brought some chip changes but no further eliminations, resulting in 21 players out of the 41 entries advancing to the final day. Expect a shake-up of the leaderboard in the first three levels of Day 2 as the late registration and reentry period will be open until the start of Level 13.

All chip counts and a recap of today's action are to follow.

Four More Hands

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With the turn showing Q42K, Krasimir Yankov bet 21,000 on the button. Vakhtang Javakhishvili raised to 91,000 from under the gun, and Yankov went into a long tank.

More than three minutes passed when Bouwe Claushuis said, "I take a long time but ..." which prompted the dealer to call the floor and mention that Claushuis was the one to call the clock on Yankov.

That was actually not the case; it had been Javier Francort. The additional countdown ran down to zero, and Yankov's hand was dead.

"How do you fold fours?" Javakhishvili inquired.

Yankov replied, "How do you know I had fours? I tell you why, because I also had the queen."

In the meantime, the clock had been stopped with the final four hands of the night drawn.

Karakitukov Doubles Through Jachtmann

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Veselin Karakitukov

Jan-Peter Jachtmann raised to 6,500 and received one caller. Veselin Karakitukov then three-bet the pot to 27,000, and Jachtmann reraised the pot to 88,500, which only Karakitukov called with 23,800 behind.

On the J85 flop, Karakitukov moved all in and Jachtmann called.

Veselin Karakitukov: QJ87 All in
Jan-Peter Jachtmann: AKKQ

The 9 turn gave Jachtmann additional straight outs, but the J river improved Karakitukov to jacks-full of eights.

Tabarelli Busts to Yankov; Gets Trolled by Claushuis

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Michael Tabarelli

Krasimir Yankov raised for Michael Tabarelli to call out of the small blind, and they got it in after the J84 flop with Tabarelli at risk for 22,300.

Michael Tabarelli: K1077 All in
Krasimir Yankov: AJ106

"I have some outs," Tabarelli said ahead of the 5 turn and A river, both of which were blanks.

"Hearts?!" table chip leader Bouwe Claushuis said, and Tabarelli made a U-turn from leaving the table.

"Yeah, it was hearts," he replied.

Claushuis then said, "But there were only two hearts on the board."

Tabarelli caught the joke, and Javier Francort chimed in, "He did the same to me in the €5,000 event," before they parted ways.

The same table then lost a late addition, Shashank Jain, just before the end of play.

Do on the Rise; Late Night Entries

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Anh Do checked the KQ89 turn, and then called a bet of 25,000 into a pot of 26,000 by Harald Casagrande. Do then led the A river for 35,000, and Casagrande folded.

On the same table, Zdenek Zizka sat down with a late-night entry, and Robert Cowen also reentered.

Two larger stacks tussled on a board of QQJK10 when Bouwe Claushuis in the small blind check-raised against Krasimir Yankov on the button. He made it 45,000 to go from 16,000, and Yankov folded.

"Nice try with the steal," the Dutch player joked, and then later admitted that he "is the worst player at the table."

Final Level of the Night

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Shashank Jain entered for the first time, while Javier Francort reentered again to bring the field up to 39 entries with 21 players remaining. The fourth table broke to balance those still in contention for the final level of the night.

Tomasz Kozub took on Max Neugebauer with the 1084 flop showing when he bet 4,500 and Neugebauer check-called. They checked the 6 turn, and Neugebauer checked the J on the river. Kozub bet 7,500 into the pot of 15,400, and Neugebauer reluctantly folded.
