In the 917th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway and Mike Holtz are joined by Ben Ludlow to talk about the latest stories from the poker world, including a discussion on the future of poker following the failure of a provision that would've mitigated the concerning gambling tax implications of the Big Beautiful Bill. Is there still time to turn things around?
The trio then discusses some of Monarch's recent seven-figure heads-up matches, Phil Hellmuth issuing a $1,000,000 challenge, and recent tournament winners from the 888poker LIVE London, including Gang Wang, Aaron Barone, and Vivian Saliba.
Chad then sits down with the winner of PokerNews' World Tournament of Slots (WTOS) giveaway. Find out who will be headed to the Bahamas in October, where they'll have a shot at a million bucks and the opportunity to meet reigning World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champ Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi.
Finally, Chad reveals the latest code word for this year's NAPT Gold Pass giveaway valued at $10,000! There are not many up for grabs this year, so you won't want to miss out on this limited opportunity to win one just by listening to the PokerNews Podcast and MSPT Podcast Presented By PokerNews.

The 2025 World Series of Poker Europe is entering the second half with the flagship €10,350 Main Event already throwing its shadow into Europe's biggest live poker arena at the King's Resort in Rozvadov. Another chance to win one of the coveted WSOP gold bracelets awaits today when a new event debuts here in Czechia as of 4 p.m. local time.
Four-card specialists from near and far already had several chances to showcase their talents in Pot-Limit Omaha, and the next opportunity comes with Event #10: €10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty, which is a new addition to the schedule for the 2025 WSOPE. With the five-figure payout comes a guarantee of €1,000,000, and several Omaha regulars from King's Resort are expected to enter the action.
Among them will likely be many of those who reached Day 2 of Event #8: €5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha and all locked up a cash prize already. They recommence their journey at 2 p.m. local time inside the poker arena, and two hours later, the next high-stakes contest will spring into action.
All players in the Pot-Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty High Roller will receive 100,000 in chips, and that represents 250 big blinds in the opening level with blinds of 200-400 with a big blind ante of 400. Unlimited reentries are allowed for the first 12 levels of the tournament, and Day 1 features a total of ten levels of 40 minutes each, allowing late registration for the first two levels on the final day. The prize pool information and mystery bounty prizes will be announced once registration is closed.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to provide exclusive updates until a champion has been crowned in this event on Tuesday, September 30. Furthermore, all of the 15 gold bracelet events until October 8 also follow the same path.
