Nezer Heads to Break With a Shove

Or Nezer raised to 250,000 in the cutoff as action went on Algirdas Saveikis on the button. Heinz Traut was in the big blind and Saveikis asked him how much he had behind.

"I have money here, in my pocket," Traut joked as he reached into his wallet.

"That's not allowed," Matteo Intiso added.

Saveikis ended up putting in a three-bet to 650,000 and action went back to Nezer, who shoved all in. Saveikis snap-folded and the table headed off on break.

Both players checked a flop of 9♠2♣7♠ for the 2♥ to roll off on the turn. Nezer bet 120,000, which Saveikis called.

A 7♥ completed the board, and Nezer checked. Saveikis bet 250,000, and Nezer immediately called. Saveikis revealed 9♦6♠ for a pair of nines to go with the pair of sevens on the board, and took down the pot as Nezer mucked.

"Machine Broken"; Traut Doubles Off Saveikis

Algirdas Saveikis raised to 240,000 in the cutoff and Heinz Traut called in the small blind. Traut then bet his last 225,000 on the 10♣9♥4♣ flop, and Saveikis called.

Traut had flopped a set of fours to overtake Saveikis' sixes, and Saveikis couldn't find the two-outer on the 2♦ turn or 7♣ river as Traut doubled up.

"Machine broken. You're cold now," Or Nezer joked with Saveikis.

Jose Puertas raised the button to 240,000, and Algirdas Saveikis called from the big blind.

Saveikis knuckled the action over to Puertas on the 7♠8♦10♥ flop. Puertas wasted no time, overbet-shoving for around 1,700,000, and Saveikis beat him into the pot with a call.

Puertas held top pair, top kicker, but was almost drawing dead to the flopped straight of Saveikis. Puertas needed running cards to keep his seat in the tournament.

The 3♥ hit the turn, leaving Puertas drawing dead as the 5♠ river was just a formality. Saveikis and four other players at the table all fist-bumped each other as they locked up at a €10,350 WSOPE Main Event seat.

Saveikis Plays His Jacks Slowly

Heinz Traut argued after one hand that the A♠ was marked, although the other players at the table said they didn't see anything. The argument went on for a few minutes until tournament officials finally agreed to switch out the decks.

Jose Puertas then shoved for 1,200,000 on the button and Algirdas Saveikis folded in the big blind, showing the A♥. Puertas reciprocated by flashing the A♠.

Matteo Intiso then shoved from the small blind and Heinz Traut, with around 1,000,000 remaining, folded.

The next hand, Saveikis opened to 240,000 in the cutoff and Catalin Diac called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 9♣7♦6♠ flop. Diac then led out for 300,000 on the 4♥ turn, and Saveikis called.

The 6♦ river was also checked down, and Diac showed 8♣7♥. Saveikis turned over J♥J♠ and took the pot.

Then Catalin Diac made it 200,000 to go from the button, and Nezer defended his big blind.

When the flop came down 7♠7♣6♦, Nezer decided to check-fold once Diac bet 125,000.

Catalin Diac used a time bank as he asked Tobias Peters how much he had in the big blind. After Peters finished counting out his stack, Diac opened to 250,000 in middle position. The table folded around to Peters who shoved for 1,070,000, and Diac quickly called.

Peters had Diac dominated and was a favorite to double up, but the Q♥8♣7♣ flop gave Diac the lead with top pair. The turn was the 2♦, while Diac improved to trips on the Q♣ river to end Peters' hopes for back-to-back bracelets.

Saveikis Thanks the Shuffling Machine

Algirdas Saveikis made it 200,000 from middle position and only Jose Puertas called from the big blind.

The dealer fanned out a flop of K♠8♥K♦ and Puertas opted to check. Saveikis fired a continuation-bet of 150,000, which was enough to get Puertas to fold. As the pot was sent to Saveikis, he turned over A♠A♥ for a pair of aces.

On the next hand, Saveikis raised to 200,000, and everyone folded. Saveikis revealed A♠K♠ after which he said, "Good machine," then kissed his palm and softly caressed the shuffling machine in the middle of the table.

Or Nezer then opened to 200,000 in the hijack and Intiso shoved again, this time for 2,000,000 on the button. Nezer also gave up his hand.

Nezer opened again the next hand to 200,000, but Algirdas Saveikis then moved all in for 1,600,000 in the hijack. Nezer again folded.

"Just pray that I don't snap you," he told Saveikis.
