Pop Arrives Just in Time to Bust Pustina
Level 23
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Catalin Pop had just moved tables and took his new seat in the big blind as Vlastimil Pustina opened to 100,000 in middle position. Pop called and the flop came 6♦5♣4♦.
Pop then led out for 65,000, Pustina moved all in for 510,000, and Pop snap-called.
Vlastimil Pustina: Q♣Q♦
Catalin Pop: 8♦7♦
"You arrived just in time," tablemate Martin Kabrhel said as Pop showed a flopped straight and flush draw. The 6♠ turn gave Pustina some outs, but he missed the 2♠ river and was sent to the rail.
"One, two, three, four for the final table," Kabrhel said, pointing at himself, Serkan Kuru, Robert Anshelm, and Gerald Karlic. "Sorry Alex, you were unable to bust Vlasta," he added, leaving out Aliaksandr Shylko.
"I tried my best," Shylko replied.
