Pidun Calls Neugebauer With Ace-High

Level 30 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Max Neugebauer raised to 525,000 under the gun and Daniel Pidun called on the button.

Action was checked to the river on a board of 874K2. Neugebauer then bet 600,000, and Pidun quickly called.

Neugebauer showed QJ, but Pidun had AQ and won the pot with ace-high.

Neugebauer got some of those chips back the next hand when Pidun raised to 525,000 in the cutoff and Neugebauer called in the big blind.

Pidun bet 350,000 on the K97 flop and Neugebauer called. They then checked down the 8 turn and J river, and Neugebauer showed K4 for top pair. Pidun mucked 75.

"Somebody else needs to win this tournament. It's not good for poker," Catalin Pop said.

"It's good for me," Neugebauer replied.
