De Souza Exits

Level 18 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Bruno De Souza was seen walking away from his table and Dong He was stacking up some new chips.

The full board of 85667 was showing and the KQ of De Souza was no good against the A9 of He, who rivered a straight.

After the hand, He's stack grew to around 210,000, while De Souza headed to the exit.

Szyghanov Doubles in Blind on Blind Cooler

Level 17 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Yakiv Syzghanov
Yakiv Syzghanov

Yakiv Syzghanov limped from the small blind, and Antonello Ferraiuolo pumped it up to 17,000 from the big blind.

Syzghanov quickly responded with a three-bet to 38,000, and Ferraiuolo four-bet jammed with the covering stack. Syzghanov quickly moved his 101,500 total stack into the middle.

Yakiv Syzghanov: QQ All in
Antonello Ferraiuolo: JJ

In a cooler both players had premiums, but Syzghanov's had the best of it. There were no surprises on the KQ694 runout, Syzghanov flopping middle set, and dodging his opponent's turned gutshot.

Rockets for Benkovic

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Lukas Benkovic was sweeping in double-up, after his 61,000 stack went into the middle with AA, and came off best against Jaroslav Peter's A10 across the 952J7 runout.

Peter was left with around 10,000, but was seen leaving the tournament area moments later.

Simpson Rivers a Set to Double Off Karatas

Level 17 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ian Simpson
Ian Simpson

Sarhabib Karatas opened the cutoff to 10,000 and then called the shove of Ian Simpson, who moved all in from the big blind for 75,000.

Ian Simpson: 55 All in
Sarhabib Karatas: K10

Karatas took the lead on the 4310 flop as he paired his ten, which left Simpson with two shots at two outs. The J turn was a swing and a miss, but the 5 river was the home run as Simpson improved to a set to double up.

Shaun Deeb is at the same table and has boosted his stack to around 460,000.

Cieslik Double-Barrels

Level 17 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Roman Cieslik opened to 10,000 from early position, and received calls from Giorgio Silva on the button and Dong He in the big blind.

On the 972 flop, Cieslik continued with a bet of 11,500 when action was checked to him, which only Silva called.

The 5 hit on the turn, and Cieslik fired again with a bet of 26,000, and Silva folded after a brief period of deliberation.

Schneider Folds Kings Preflop

Level 17 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Christian Schneider
Christian Schneider

After a series of raises preflop, Christian Schneider had 70,000 laid out in front of him from the big blind and Christian Meller had moved all in for around 260,000 from middle position.

Schneider had around 230,000 behind, more than enough to cover his opponent, but after some time in the tank he folded KK face up for the table to see.

Meller didn't show his cards, he just nodded his head as he raked in the chips.

Gicovanu Gets Aces Against Zizka

Level 17 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Marius Gicovanu
Marius Gicovanu

Zdenek Zizka opened under the gun to 10,000 and Antonello Ferraiuolo three-bet the cutoff to 26,000. Marius Gicovanu was on the button and shoved 86,500, then Zizka reshoved. Ferraiuolo folded.

Marius Gicovanu: AA All in
Zdenek Zizka: AK

Gicovanu was in a fantastic spot to double up, and the Q86 flop pretty much locked it up for him as the held the bigger flush draw. The 35 runout changed nothing, and Gicovanu doubled up.
