A pot of around 180,000 had already brewed between Dorian Melchers in the big blind and Michel Knoepfer from the hijack. The flop read 6♥10♠9♣ and Melchers shoved his last 9,500, which Knoepfer called.
Dorian Melchers: J♥J♣
Michel Knoepfer: A♦5♣
Melchers was well in front, but the brutal A♠ turn left him with just two outs going to the river as Knoepfer binked an ace. There was no movement from Melchers after seeing the turn, and he exhaled a huge puff of air when the J♦ spiked the river to give him a set and the rollercoaster double-up.
On a flop of 7♥4♣2♠, there were around 60,000 chips in the pot when Mariusz Klabisch had his stack of 83,000 in the middle, and was put at risk by Shaun Deeb.
Mariusz Klabisch: A♠K♦
Shaun Deeb: 5♠5♣
Deeb took a while to flick in the chips in the flop, but had made the right call. Klabisch was already on his feet in preparation for his departure, but caught an ace on the 9♠A♥ runout to double up.

With three starting flights of the final event of the World Series of Poker Europe, Event #15: €1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Closer already completed, 70 players have progressed to Day 2, kicking off today, October 7, at 5:00 p.m. local time.
The final flight, turbo flight Day 1d, is still underway at the time of writing, with late registration about to close and 183 players in the field, with 459 entrants obtained through Days 1a-1c. The €1,000 buy-in event, featuring a €1,000,000 guarantee, represents the last chance for players to capture a WSOPE 2025 bracelet, and it appears certain there will be some added value for players.
Shaun Deeb (322,500) comes into Day 2 sitting just outside the top ten, and will no doubt be laser-focused in his pursuit of another bracelet. The reigning WSOP Player of the Year has had an epic 2025, winning his seventh and eighth bracelets in the $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller in Vegas and Event #13: €25,000 No-Limit Hold’em GGPoker Million, here in Rozvadov, and he will be hoping to finish the year with a hat-trick of WSOP silverware.
Deeb will be pursuing a current top three of Hans Thumann of Germany (557,000), Italian WSOP bracelet winner Fabio Peluso (464,500) and Johann Schamne of Germany (457,500).
