Event #15: €1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Closer
Day 2 Completed
From a field of 645 entries, only 16 players remain in contention for the final bracelet of the 2025 World Series of Poker Europe. After an action-packed Day 2 of Event #15: €1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Closer, Israel’s Asaf Adato bagged the overnight chip lead with 2,130,000, putting himself in prime position to capture his maiden WSOP title and the lion’s share of the €850,000 prize pool inside King's Resort.
Germany’s Dennis Schaefer (2,030,000) and Czechia's Lukas Timko (1,815,000) round out the top three, while Dorian Melchers (1,670,000) and Mariusz Klabisch (1,635,000) also finished the night above the seven-figure mark.
It was another deep run for Shaun Deeb, who continues to prove why he’s one of the most consistent performers in poker. The eight-time bracelet winner bagged 1,395,000 and remains firmly in contention to end his incredible 2025 campaign with a third bracelet of the year.

Day 2 has now concluded, with 16 players progressing to the final day.
Stay tuned to PokerNews for updated chip counts and a recap of the day.
Mariusz Klabisch raised to 80,000 from the small blind, and Paul Covaciu three-bet jammed with the covering stack from the big blind.
Klabisch burned through three time banks before making the call for his 810,000 total stack.
Mariusz Klabisch: Q♣Q♠
Paul Covaciu: 2♥2♠
Klabisch had Covaciu crushed, and he hit top set on the Q♦7♥5♦ flop, leaving Covaciu almost drawing dead.
The 8♦ turn confirmed the double-up was heading to Klabsich, and the 2♣ river was a rubdown for Covaciu.

Frederikus Roelfsema raised to 80,000 from under the gun and Roman Isaienko shoved the big blind for around 700,000. Roelfsema had around 600,000 total and quickly called off his stack.
Frederikus Roelfsema: A♣6♣
Roman Isaienko: A♠K♥
Roelfsema was behind and in need of a six, but the 7♦2♠10♠ was pretty dry for him. Isaienko improved to two pair on the A♦K♠ runout, which left Roelfsema out in 17th.
