Koleno Flops a Set; Elhaiany Bluffs the River

Level 30 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Daniel Elhaiany
Daniel Elhaiany

Stanislav Koleno opened 33 from the hijack to 500,000 and Christophe Vincent called in the small blind holding 87.

Koleno flopped a set on 3K2 and took it down with a bet of 300,000 after Vincent checked.

Roman Isaienko then looked down at KK in the cutoff and raised to 500,000. Daniel Elhaiany defended with 75 in the big blind.

Elhaiany flopped an open-ender on the 446 board and checked it over to Isaienko, who bet 325,000. Elhaiany just called to the A turn, where he checked and Isaienko bet 750,000. Elhaiany called again.

When the 6 hit the river, Elhaiany led for 2,600,000 as a bluff, and Isaienko folded his kings.

Hicham Aouraghe shoved for 2,725,000 from middle position and Christophe Vincent shoved the cutoff to isolate.

Hicham Aouraghe: 108 All in
Christophe Vincent: AQ

Aouraghe did have live cards, but didn't find any of them on the K26 flop. It was all over on the A turn as Vincent paired his ace, with an A on the river improving him to trips just for good measure.

Ciolte Doubles Without Seeing a Flop

Level 31 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Calin Ciolte
Calin Ciolte

Besnik Aruqi opened the button to 700,000, and then folded when Calin Ciolte jammed out of the big blind for 2,475,000.

The next hand, Aruqi tried again with a raise to 600,000 from the cutoff. Ciolte stuck it all in again, this time for 3,525,000 out of the small blind, which forced Aruqi to fold for a second time.

Then, Gal Naim took his shot at stealing the blinds as he opened the cutoff to 600,000. Ciolte, for the third time on the trot, jammed for 4,725,000 from the button. Naim flashed an ace as he tossed his cards into the muck.

Ciolte more than doubled his stack from three hands, without having to see any community cards.

Wheel-y Fortunate Turn Saves Wang from Elimination

Level 31 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Yuhan Wang
Yuhan Wang

Yuhan Wang completed from the small blind and Vlastimil Pustina made it 1,000,000 to go out of the big blind. Wang wasted no time in limp-jamming for 6,300,000. Pustina made the call after a few moments, and the cards were tabled.

Vlastimil Pustina: A10 All in
Yuhan Wang: Q5

Wang made a move with a suited queen, but ran into the ace-ten of Pustina. Pustina had been having a rough day and had the chance to get his stack back up to what he began the day with.

A flop of A43 put Pustina firmly in the lead with top pair, and Wang needed a deuce to survive. The dealer burned a card and delivered the 2 on the turn, giving Wang the wheel. A 6 completed the board to cement Wang's double-up at the expense of Pustina.

Wang Extracts Some Value from Naim

Level 32 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Yuhan Wang
Yuhan Wang

Gal Naim made it 800,000 to go from the hijack and only Yuhan Wang, from the button, made the call.

Naim tossed out a continuation-bet of 700,000 on the 953 flop. Wang carved out the call.

The Q rolled off on the turn, causing Naim to check. Wang fired out 2,000,000, which Naim called.

A 6 completed the board and Naim checked for the last time. Wang quickly bet 2,700,000, and after a few moments, Naim called.

Wang turned over AQ for a turned pair of queens, which was good enough to win the pot, as Naim mucked.

Andrei Spataru
Andrei Spataru

Andrei Spataru raised to 800,000 from middle position and Stanislav Koleno shoved 7,775,000 from the hijack. When it got back to Spataru, he called for his stack of 3,750,000.

Andrei Spataru: 1010 All in
Stanislav Koleno: AJ

Spataru was ahead with his pocket tens, and they retained their lead through the 5K3 flop. A 2 on the turn added a few more outs for Koleno with a wheel draw, and that rolled in on the 4 river, which ended Spataru's run.

Vlastimil Pustina Eliminated in 13th Place (€10,879)

Level 32 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Vlastimil Pustina
Vlastimil Pustina

Vlastimil Pustina moved all in under the gun for roughly 2,500,000 and Alkiviadis Stamatis jammed over the top for 4,500,000 from the next seat. Everyone else folded, and the start-of-day chip leader was at risk of elimination.

Vlastimil Pustina: AQ All in
Alkiviadis Stamatis: AK

Stamatis had Pustina dominated with the superior ace, and Pustina was pleading for a queen from the dealer. The 322 flop gave Pustina some chop outs, and the 5 turn gave him even more. However, the K completed the board to give Stamatis a pair of kings, and Pustina was out.

With the elimination of Pustina in 13th, the remaining 12 players had all locked up a €10,350 WSOPE Main Event ticket.

Elhaiany Four-Bet Rips Seven-Deuce, Tumbles Down the Counts

Level 32 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Stanislav Koleno
Stanislav Koleno

Daniel Elhaiany opened the button to 800,000 and Stanislav Koleno three-bet the big blind to 3,000,000. Elhaiany looked at the stack of his opponent to see he had around 13,000,000, then started burning through time banks. Eventually, Elhaiany shoved, and Koleno called off his stack to create a monster pot.

Daniel Elhaiany: 72 All in
Stanislav Koleno: AQ

Elhaiany had the worst hand in poker and went for glory with it. There was still a chance for him to win the pot, but after the 5QJ flop, that was a longshot. It was all over by the time the 3 hit the turn, with the 8 on the river completing Koleno's flush.
