Calin Ciolte got his stack of around 1,250,000 into the middle preflop, with Eusebiu Jalba calling to try and bust him.
Calin Ciolte: 10♣10♠
Eusebiu Jalba: A♦K♠
Ciolte's pocket tens needed to win the flip to keep his hopes of making Day 3 alive. The board ran out 7♠J♥5♠9♠Q♥, and Ciolte's pair held up, earning him the double-up at the expense of Jalba.
Patrick White raised to 240,000 under the gun, Roman Isaienko moved all in for 1,430,000 in early position, and White called.
Roman Isaienko: A♠K♣
Patrick White: A♦10♦
Isaienko had White dominated as the flop came Q♦3♥9♣, but White picked up a flush draw on the 3♦ turn. Isaienko held on as the 8♣ came on the river, and White paid off the double up.
At another table, Salih Atac had shoved from the small blind and Pawel Wojciechowski committed his last 1,400,000 in the big blind.
Pawel Wojciechowski: A♠3♠
Salih Atac: K♦J♠
Wojciechowski remained ahead through the turn on a board of 10♣2♦9♥9♦, but Atac hit the J♣ on the river to make two pair and send Wojciechowski to the rail.
Pawel Wojciechowski opened to 250,000 from early position. Miguel Angel Alvarez in middle position three-bet all in for a bit more than 1,800,000. Yuhan Wang, to his left, called and made Wojciechowski fold.
Miguel Angel Alvarez: 10♠10♦
Yuhan Wang: Q♥Q♦
Angel Alvarez asked for tens but couldn't find any on the 3♣7♠6♦4♥3♠ runout and was eliminated.
Michailidis was ahead with his jacks, while Vincent was on a straight draw. The turn was the 2♥, while the J♦ river gave Michailidis a set but also improved Vincent to his straight to earn him a double.
Alkiviadis Stamatis raised to 240,000 from early position before Campbell Ashton jammed for roughly 1,100,000 from middle position. Stamatis tossed in one chip to indicate call when the action got back around to him.
Campbell Ashton : 8♣8♥
Alkiviadis Stamatis: A♠A♦
Stamatis found aces at the perfect time, and only an unfortunate runout would see him lose the pot. Ashton was drawing dead by the turn on a board of J♦10♦6♦4♦ as Stamatis hit a flush. The 4♠ completed the board and Ashton headed to the exit.
Daniel Elhaiany raised to 240,000 in middle position before Alkiviadis Stamatis three-bet to 680,000 in the hijack. Luca Marchetti then moved all in for 2,055,000 from the small blind, and Elhaiany folded, but Stamatis called to put him at risk.
Luca Marchetti: Q♦Q♣
Alkiviadis Stamatis: A♥10♦
Marchetti was ahead with his queens and improved to a set on the K♣Q♥5♠ flop, while Stamatis was left looking to complete a straight draw. The turn was the 5♣, and Marchetti made a full house to leave Stamatis drawing dead, while the J♠ river arrived too late for Stamatis to avoid handing over the double.
The action was picked up on a board of 5♣7♣K♣10♦ with approximately 900,000 in the pot.
Elia Salerno in middle position bet 400,000, but Daniel Elhaiany, with the biggest stack of the table, check-raised all in from the small blind.
Salerno went deep into the tank for several minutes, until Elhaiany called the clock. Salerno failed to make a decision during the 30-second countdown, and his hand was declared dead.
"Good fold," Elhaiany said while scooping the pot.
Patrik Jaros and Dimitrios Michailidis checked to the turn on a board of J♠7♣8♠7♠ when Jaros led out for 400,000 from the big blind. Michailidis called in middle position.
The river was the J♦ and Jaros bet another 1,000,000. Michailidis took a minute before calling once more, and Jaros showed Q♣2♣ for a bluff. Michailidis turned over A♥8♥ for two pair to win the pot.
"Very easy call. Slow roll," Jaros joked with Michailidis after the hand.
