Uharcek Pots Teker on the Turn

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Heads-up on a flop of 978, Eray Teker bet 27,000 from early position and Marek Uharcek called in the big blind.

The turn was the 4 and Teker bet another 81,000. Uharcek then slid forward his entire stack, announcing pot, and the table spent a moment figuring out how much the bet was before Teker tossed his cards into the muck.

Right behind him and the only other player in the million-chip club is Javier Francort with 1,150,000. Francort is already having a stellar WSOP Europe so far, finishing seventh in the €1,000 Omaha a few days ago, as well as a deep run in the €350 King’s Million. He’ll be looking to better those results today and add a piece of gold jewelry to his collection.

Ruslan Nazarenko (839,000), Iago Savino (831,000), and Francisco Perez (830,000) round out the top five. Other top stacks include Harald Casagrande (601,000), as well as bracelet winners Sokratis Linaras (555,000) and Samuel Stranak (550,000). Further down the leaderboard are last year’s €550 Omaha champion Volodymyr Kokoulin (232,000), Tomasz Gluszko (200,000), Michael Sklenicka (180,000), Veselin Karakitukov (171,000), Manig Loeser (71,000), Zdenek Zizka (66,000), and two time WSOP Omaha bracelet winner Dennis Weiss (45,000).

The event drew a total of 406 entries over two starting flights, building a prize pool of €870,000. The 61 returning players are already in the money, with the official list of payouts being announced shortly after the start of play.

The action picks up with eight minutes remaining in Level 15 with blinds of 4,000/8,000 and an 8,000 big blind ante. Levels will be 40 minutes for the duration of the day. The plan is to play down to a champion later tonight.

Stay tuned as PokerNews provides live updates throughout the day as a new WSOP bracelet winner is crowned.
