Frank Niermann opened to 40,000 from early position, and received calls from Christian Schneider in middle position, and Dmytro Fedorov and Hueseyin Selcuk in the blinds.
Action was checked to Niermann on the J♥J♠9♠ flop, and he moved all in for 125,000.
Much to his relief, all three of his opponents sent their cards to the muck after a period of deliberation.
Nico Adomeit opened to 90,000 from the cutoff, leaving himself around 210,000 behind.
Action folded to Lulei Hu in the big blind, who asked to see Adomeit's remaining stack, before three-bet jamming with the covering stack. Adomeit quickly moved the rest of his stack into the middle.
Nico Adomeit: A♠Q♠
Lulei Hu: A♥A♦
Adomeit had run into a monster, and there was no escape on the J♦10♠2♣J♥8♥ runout, despite flopping a gutshot. Hu moves over the 1.5 million mark.
A big commotion was coming from Table #301, where four players had all their chips in the middle. Frank Bluemlein was all in for 130,000 from the small blind, Mo Xu 285,000 in the big blind, and Peteris Enders for 145,000 in middle position. Michael Jaeggi, meanwhile, was in the hijack and had all three opponents covered and at risk.
Frank Bluemlein: A♣K♥
Mo Xu: A♥K♠
Peteris Enders: A♦Q♠
Michael Jaeggi: Q♣Q♦
Jaeggi had the lead with his pair of queens as the flop came 7♥10♣2♥, while the 10♥ turn gave Xu the nut flush draw. The river was the Q♥ and Jaeggi improved to a full house to scoop the pot, letting out a loud cry in celebration as several players snapped photos of the board.
On a flop of 4♣5♥10♣, Fernando Banda bet 40,000 from middle position into the pot of around 150,000. Miroslav Matula called from the big blind and Mario Colavita shoved 250,000 from early position. Banda reshoved around 300,000, and Matula folded.
Mario Colavita: K♦K♣
Fernando Banda: 10♠10♦
Banda had flopped a set to crush Colavita's kings, but there were still two cards to come where anything could happen. However, nothing did happen as the 3♦6♣ runout meant Colavita headed to the exit.
Antonello Ferraiuolo opened from early position to 30,000 and Martin Bartos three-bet to 90,000 from the hijack. A big four-bet came in from Ferraiuolo, Bartos shoved around 350,000, and Ferraiuolo called.
Martin Bartos: A♥K♥
Antonello Ferraiuolo: Q♦Q♣
It was poker's most classic flip, and it went the way of Ferraiuolo as his queens held up on the 6♠2♦3♥5♣8♦ runout, which send Bartos to the rail.
Manig Loeser opened to 30,000 from middle position and was called by Lulei Hu to his left. Mikhail Zaitsev in the cutoff raised all-in for 170,000, Loeser four-bet all-in for 345,000 and Hu folded.
Mikhail Zaitsev: 9♣9♠
Manig Loeser: A♥J♥
Loeser hit a flush on a board of 3♥10♥2♣6♥7♦ to send Zaitsev to the rail.
