Christian Pedersen raised to 120,000 from the button and Jake Greenbaum called from the small blind.
Greenbaum led out for 200,000 on the J♦10♦9♣ flop and Pedersen called. The A♣ turn and 9♥ river checked through to showdown, where Greenabums Q♦J♣ was good for the pot.
Action folded to Mario Diaz Quilez on the button, who raised to 120,000. The small blind folded, and Aliaksei Boika in the big blind checked before asking Quilez how much he had behind. Quilez said he had around 1,400,000, which prompted Boika to move all in. Quilez made a quick call, sending the cards on their backs.
Mario Diaz Quilez: 6♥6♦
Aliaksei Boika: J♦9♦
Boika needed help from the board, but it ran out 5♦6♠8♠3♣Q♥, giving Quilez a set and a full double up.
Andre Marques moved all in for his last 520,000 from early position. Action folded to Punnat Punsri in the big blind, and after he checked Marques’ stack, he made the call, leading to a showdown.
Andre Marques: A♦J♣
Punnat Punsri: K♣Q♣
The flop gave Punsri a few outs for a flush as it came 5♣9♦6♣.
The turn brought the 2♣, locking it up for Punsri with the flush already made. The 9♥ river was just a formality, and Marques was sent packing.
Action was picked up on the K♣2♠5♣ flop with around 650,000 already in the pot.
Christian Pedersen, in the small blind, was facing a bet of 450,000 from Yuliyan Kolev in the hijack and made the call.
The 6♥ landed on the turn, and Pedersen checked once more. Kolev then jammed as the bigger stack, putting Pedersen to the test for his remaining 1,420,000.
Pedersen burned through several time extensions before eventually committing a calling chip.
Kolev had been caught bluffing with Q♥J♠, while Pedersen tabled K♠3♠ for a pair of kings to secure the pot.
Mustapha Kanit jammed for 510,000 from under the gun before Zackary Estes reshoved from the small blind. The big blind folded and the cards were tabled.
Mustapha Kanit: 3♥3♦
Zackary Estes: J♥J♦
Like the hand the duo played moments ago, Estes came out on top, making a set of jacks on the A♦J♠10♥9♣7♦ runout to eliminate Kanit.
Martin Hellmuth was deep in conversation with Mike Watson while the pair sat in the blinds, asking Watson whether he would prefer a bracelet and a €400,000 second-place prize, or €600,000 in cash with no bracelet. Watson, a poker Triple Crown winner, snap-said he would take the money over the bracelet. He also joked that he wouldn’t mind adding another runner-up finish to the seven second-place results he already has in WSOP events.
The action then folded around to Hellmuth, who raised to 125,000 from the small blind. Watson three-bet to 360,000, prompting Hellmuth to click it back to 625,000. Watson responded with a five-bet shove, and after spending some time in the tank, Hellmuth released his hand.
Zackary Estes kicked things off in the hijack with a raise to 110,000, and Miroslav Alilovic in the cutoff three bet to 260,000. Mustapha Kanit was sitting on the button when he four bet to 580,000. With the action back to Estes, he made it 1,100,000, which got Alilovic out of the way, but Kanit made the call after using one time bank card.
Estes did not back down on the 9♣4♠5♦ flop, betting 400,000 with Kanit calling.
When the 10♥ hit the turn, Estes announced all in and the dealer confirmed 1,725,000. Kanit went into the tank, burning through two time bank cards before making the call, sending the hand to showdown.
Zackary Estes: A♥A♣
Mustapha Kanit: Q♠Q♥
Both had an overpair, but Kanit was behind and hoping for a good river. The river brought the J♦, which changed nothing, allowing Estes to take a big chunk out of Kanit for a chip lead pot.
Christian Pedersen opened to 100,000 from middle position and was called by Jake Greenbaum and Boris Kolev from the hijack and cutoff. Eduard Anufriiev then shoved for 1,110,000 from the button. Yuliyan Kolev rejammed for 2,3550,000 from the small blind, which folded out the other players.
Eduard Anufriiev: A♦K♦
Yuliyan Kolev: K♥K♣
Kolev's Day 3 heater continued, as he held out on the 4♠5♣4♥6♥7♠ runout to bust Anufriiev.
Boris Kolev and Greenabum said they folded nines and tens respectively, as they mulled over their options before opting to fold preflop.
