Jake Greenbaum kicked things off from under the gun with a raise to 200,000 and found a caller in Christian Pedersen in the big blind.
On the K♥8♥9♥ flop, Pedersen check-raised Greenbaum’s 100,000 bet to 325,000, and Greenbaum stuck around to see the turn, the 3♥, where both players checked.
The 6♥ river saw both players check once more. Greenbaum tabled K♦8♦, and Pedersen held A♦10♥ for the better flush, scooping the pot.
Miroslav Alilovic opened to 180,000 from the cutoff. He went into the tank after Mario Diaz Quilez raised to 990,000. Quilez had left himself 50,000 behind, but it didn't need to go in as Alilovic folded.
Boris Kolev raised to 160,000 from under the gun. Martin Hellmuth and Jake Greenbaum called from the cutoff and big blind.
The Q♦10♣4♣ flop checked through to the 5♥ turn. Greenbaum fired out 225,000 and only Hellmuth called.
Greenbaum then check-called for 325,000 on the 8♦ river, tabling 5♣4♥ for two pair. Hellmuth mucked.
On the next deal, Hellmuth jammed for 1,025,000 and stole the blinds.

Mike Watson opened to 225,000 from the button and Jake Greenbaum called from the big blind. The 8♠5♠4♥ flop checked through to the 3♥ turn, where Greenbaum led out for 250,000. Watson called.
Greenabaum fired out another 500,000 on the 9♥ river, but quickly folded when Watson jammed for 2,345,000.
Yuliyan Kolev raised to 530,000 from under the gun, leaving 100,000 behind. Jake Greenbaum, in the small blind, announced "six-thirty," as he wanted to put Kolev all-in. He was then informed that the minimum raise would be to 960,000, which he was forced to do. Boris Kolev then jammed as the big stack from the big blind.
"Oh shit!" said Y. Kolev. "Someone wants to bust me."
With the field on a pay jump, he sent a couple of time banks to the dealer. "Just in case," he added, throwing in his third time bank.
His final chip went into the middle, and Greenbaum folded.

Another "oh shit," came from Y. Kolev after his namesake paired up on the A♦6♣2♥ flop. He remained behind on the 8♠ turn, but shouted "Opa!" when he spiked a set on the 7♠ river.
Martin Hellmuth raised to 950,000, leaving himself just 85,000 behind. Jake Greenbaum in the blind made the call.
On the 2♦8♦8♥ flop, Greenbaum bet 85,000, which put Hellmuth all in. Hellmuth used two of his time bank cards before making the call, sending the cards on their backs.

Hellmuth was ahead with his pair of sevens and still safe on the 5♦ turn, but the river brought the A♣, giving Greenbaum the better pair and sending Hellmuth to the rail.
Mario Diaz Quilez opened to 1,000,000 from under the gun, leaving 75,000 behind. Zackary Estes jammed from the button and Quilez put in his last few chips.

Quilez was happy to see he was live, but he remained behind on the K♥J♣10♠ flop. The A♠ turn gave him additional outs, as he picked up a flush draw, which came in on the 4♠ river.
The following hand, Estes opened to 200,000 and Quilez defended the big blind. The latter check-folded to a bet of 400,000 on the 9♣3♦2♣ flop.
Boris Kolev opened to 200,000 from the cutoff before Christian Pedersen three-bet to 650,000 from the big blind. Kolev moved all in as the bigger stack, and Pedersen quickly called for his tournament life, putting in 2,505,000.

Yuliyan Kolev was loudly calling for a six, but the dealer instead spread an unlikely flop of 9♣9♥9♠, leaving Boris needing running sixes to survive. The 3♠ turn and 4♥ river changed nothing, and Pedersen doubled up with his queens.
