Action folded to Julien Sitbon in the small blind, who raised to 300,000 and left himself just 10,000 behind. Zackary Estes was in the big blind and announced all in, and Sitbon called, leading to a showdown.
Julien Sitbon: K♠7♦
Zackary Estes: A♦2♦
The board ran out A♠J♣Q♥3♥9♣, offering no help for Sitbon and sending him to the rail.
Jake Greenbaum kicked things off with a raise to 100,000 in the cutoff. Action folded to Biao Ding in the big blind, who moved all in for 795,000 and Greenbaum made the call
Biao Ding: A♦10♥
Jake Greenbaum: 9♦9♣
The flop gave Ding the better pair with 5♠2♣10♣. But the 9♠ turn changed everything, leaving Ding with no outs, and the 8♦ river was just a formality as Ding was sent to the rail.
The pot stood at around 840,000, and the board showed J♠A♦10♥7♠ when Diogo Duarte in the big blind bet 395,000, leaving himself just 35,000 behind. Mehdi Chaoui thought it over before raising, putting Duarte to the test, and he quickly folded, left with crumbs.
Duarte managed to double up the next two hands, climbing back to around 390,000. In the fourth hand, he moved all in from the cutoff and got called by Zackary Estes in the big blind.
Diogo Duarte: A♦10♣
Zackary Estes: A♣Q♣
Duarte needed help from the board, but it ran out 5♣6♥7♥J♣2♥, offering no improvement and sending him to the rail.
The pot stood at around 700,000, and the board was fully laid out showing 2♦5♦10♦A♦J♦. Aliaksei Boika checked to Christian Pedersen, who fired a bet of around 600,000. Boika thought it over but eventually let the hand go, conceding the pot.
Boris Kolev kicked things off with a button raise to 90,000 and found a caller in Mehdi Chaoui in the big blind.
On the 10♣6♣10♦ flop, Chaoui check called Kolev’s bet of 60,000.
Both players checked the Q♠ turn.
The river brought the 4♣, and Chaoui led for 280,000. Kolev responded with a raise to 560,000, and Chaoui went into the tank before making the call. Kolev tabled A♣7♣ for a rivered flush and Chaoui’s cards went into the muck.
“Why didn’t you raise to 640,000?” Chaoui asked. “Because I wanted you to call,” Kolev responded.

Action of the Day
The biggest moment of the day came on the direct bubble with 55 players remaining, where the clock was paused for hand-for-hand play and tension filled the room. After a few double ups and unanswered all ins, Biao Ding delivered the decisive knockout, eliminating Rui Figueiredo when his rivered straight cracked pocket aces to burst the bubble and bring the field into the money.

Once in the money, the action did not slow down. Big pots and crucial confrontations shaped the late stages. Aliaksei Boika was one of the most active players, consistently using his stack to pressure opponents in key spots and picking up several important pots that kept him near the top of the counts. Christian Pedersen and Punnat Punsri were also heavily involved in multiple confrontations, trading big pots throughout the day.
One of the key moments saw Viktor Blom get involved in a crucial all-in situation against Pedersen, ultimately coming up short and heading to the rail shortly after the bubble. Landon Tice also exited after a swingy stretch where he was repeatedly forced into all in decisions but could not find the necessary hold.

In one of the last notable hands of the day, Boris Kolev picked up a significant pot after completing a flush against Mehdi Chaoui, a hand that boosted him into a strong position heading into Day 3.
