Shaun Deeb reached heads-up for the second time at the 2026 World Series of Poker Europe at King’s Casino inside Hilton Prague, but once again fell one step short of his ninth WSOP bracelet.

Instead, it was France's Gilles Silbernagel who finished the job, capturing the €565 COLOSSUS title for €165,000 and denying Deeb a ninth bracelet for the second time in less than a week. Deeb had previously finished runner-up in the €3,300 PLO Mixed, where he earned €81,784.

The victory marked a major career milestone for Silbernagel, pushing the French player's live tournament earnings past $700,000. It also represented his second six-figure cash and his first tournament victory since 2020, with the €165,000 score ranking as the second-largest of his career behind a €200,000 win at the Italian Poker Open in 2018.

The €565 COLOSSUS proved the largest event of the 2026 WSOPE, drawing 2,662 entries to generate a €1,331,000 prize pool, with Silbernagel emerging from the massive field to claim the bracelet.
