Jungleman is Locked In

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Fatos Haxhaj made it 4,000 from under the gun, and the action folded to a half asleep Dan Cates, who was on the button. He just announced raise, not seeing the action had been opened, and was forced to make it 6,000. Haxhaj called.

It checked through to showdown, where Cates' AK bested Haxhaj's AQ on the 103275 board,

It was suggested by the dealer that Cates should focus a little more on the game, with Haxhaj disagreeing after losing the minimum.

"What makes you think this man isn't focused?" Erick Lindgren asked the dealer. "This is the man we have all been losing to for the last 15 years."

Karolis Has a Boat

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Sereika Karolis opened to 4,500 from early position and called when Alexandre Reard made it 12,000 from the hijack.

Karolis check-called for 16,000 on the K99 flop, before the 9 turn and J river checked through to showdown.

Karolis tabled KQ for nines full of kings, and Reard mucked.

Zisimopoulos Makes Everybody Fold

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Zdenek Zizka raised to 4,000 from under the gun and was called by both Claus Grether on the button and Georgios Zisimopoulos in the small blind.

Zizka made a continuation bet and was called twice again, but on the K turn, Zisimopoulos led out for 27,000.

Zizka folded, just like Grether a few seconds later.

Flashback: Daniel Pidun Wins 2025 WSOP Europe Main Event Title

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Daniel Pidun
Daniel Pidun

The World Series of Poker Europe first came to Rozvadov in 2017, bringing the poker world together in this small town along the Czech-German border as King’s Resort became one of the premier destinations in Europe. The last eight years have brought many memorable champions and moments, so it was only fitting, in the last WSOP Europe to be played here, that Daniel Pidun turned off the lights in style: with two aces.

Pidun was on the right side of a massive preflop cooler, his aces taking out Gerald Karlic’s jacks, as the German emerged victorious over the 659-entry field to win the 2025 WSOP Europe Main Event, his first WSOP gold bracelet, and €1,140,000 top prize.

“Great. Of course, it makes me feel great. Very good feeling,” Pidun said. “I had a feeling I was going to win it. I just had a feeling. I don’t know why.”

Steinbrenner Jams

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Justin Steinbrenner opened to 3,500 from middle position. Michael Moncek folded in the hijack before Julian Lozano called from the button. Annette Obrestad and Stefan Nemetz folded from the button and small blind before Blake Bohn defended the big blind.

Steinbrenner continued for 6,000 on the AK6 flop. Only Lozano called.

Lozano called for another 12,000 on the 8 turn, bringing in the Q river. Steinbrenner jammed for around 45,000 and folded out Lozano.

Good Flop, Bad Turn and Lucky River for Watson

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Tomasz Brzezinski opened to 3,000 from the hijack and was called by Viktor Blom in the small blind. Mike Watson in the big blind three-bet all-in for 54,500 and made Brzezinski fold. Blom however quickly called.

Mike Watson: AQ All in
Viktor Blom: 99

Watson flopped top pair on 10QK to take the lead, but the 9 on the turn gave Blom a set. Watson shook his head in disappointment, but the J on the river completed his straight, allowing him to double up.

Kozieja Wins Three-Way All-In

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

After Fridolf Pierrot opened from the cutoff and was raised by Edgaras Kausinis and then Grzegorz Kozieja in the big blind, Pierrot jammed for 33,000, Kausinis moved all-in as well and Kozieja snap-called with a bit more than 100,000.

Fridolf Pierrot: AK All in
Grzegorz Kozieja: KK All in
Edgaras Kausinis: JJ

The dealer fanned a board of 83427 and Kozieja scooped the pot while Pierrot was eliminated.
