Spotted So Far

Everyone Deserves a 2nd Chance. And a 3rd. And a 4th.

By the by, owing to the high-variance nature of pot-limit Omaha, the 15,000 in starting chips will be distributed in the form of 3,000 in actual usable tournament chips, and three lammers worth 4,000 chips apiece. The lammers may be cashed immediately if the player so desires, or may be held back and used as rebuy chips until the end of level 4, when they will all be changed up for tournament chips.

That make sense? Good. Dealers have appeared at the tables with chips, and indeed the aforementioned lammers, and play should be getting going in around 15 minutes.

Twice the Cards = Twice the Fun

Good afternoon, and now for something completely different!

After two and a half days of nothing but six-max hold'em, we are about to go pot-limit crazy here at the Empire Casino in the heart of London's West End. Pot-limit Omaha has long been one of the most popular games in European card rooms, and we fully expect Great Britain and Europe's finest to turn out in force for this one, not to mention the hordes of our friends from across the Pond.

The upstairs tournament area is as yet eerily empty, but we can hear TD Jack Effel on the mic downstairs telling the assembled punters that they really should register for this tournament. There are only 60 names on the list so far, but this is looking to be a tournament with some serious pedigree already - spotted in the corridors so far are Hendon Mobsters Barny Boatman and Joe Beevers, Full Tilt Pros Annette Obrestad and Scott Montgomery, and November Niner Michael Mizrachi. Play is scheduled to start at 5pm, in around half an hour, so sit tight and we'll bring you all the PLO action the moment it gets underway.
