World Series of Poker Europe 2010
The first round of action is complete. We'll have the next round of matches coming for you shortly.
Masaaki Kagawa is the last player to be eliminated from round one. He got it all-in with
versus Jussi Nevanlinna's
. Kagawa called for "one time" and that seemed to help on the

flop but the Finn hit running cards with the
on the turn and river to make two-pair.
A match which started with friendly banter and ended when the blinds pushed play to its limit with a preflop all-in sends Mike 'the Mouth' Matusow on to Round Two of the £10,000 Heads Up Championship. The final hands:
for Matusow with which he called Stein's all in immediately finding him with a promisingly-behind
. The flop saw Stein urging a Ten to pop out:
... but the deck didn't oblige, sending instead the
and the
which meant play ended with a handshake and Matusow genuinely giving his opponent respect for, "A great game!"

It took him a while but Team Full Tilt Member Tom Dwan is through after defeating Ilya Trincher. They saw a

flop where Dwan check-called a 1,500 bet. The turn came
and this time Dwan check-raised Trincher's 3,200 bet all-in. Trincher took a while but eventually called all-in with
but was behind to Dwan's
. The river came
to confirm Dwan's win.
The Matusow vs. Stein match is turning somewhat epic, with the stacks still roughly even halfway through the 600/1,200 level. Mostly they seem to be limping on the button and then folding to a raise from the big blind, and we haven't seen a single flop yet.
Still, the blinds are getting enormous and it can;t be too long before we see a couple big hands to put an end to this and send everyone on dinner.
"Come on Mike!" called a random railer at Matusow.
"Oh, this is one big war," he replied, as the two continued limping and min-betting (we finally got to see a flop while everyone was distracted by the railer; a mere min-bet from Matusow took it). "Actually I don't even know if this is a war. Me and this guy are like two BB guns. Or paintball."

Shortly before the break Barny Boatman lost out to Saar Wilf. Not long before that we also lost Alex Keating to Marcello Marigliano.
