Deepening stacks and lengthening clocks mean that there's quite a lot of room to wriggle early on, and preflop aggression is the watchword around the tables. Button Kevin Eyster just made it 5k, big blind Sondre Svanevik upped it to 17k, and Eyster threw out 49k after a bit of a think. At this point Svanevik backed down, like the cat on the fence who loses the unspoken tail-swishing battle, and calmly, quickly passed and moved on to the next hand.
