Collopy Fights Back

A few hundred grand headed back whence they came into the stack of Jim Collopy, as he finally won a decent-sized pot.

Gus Hansen limped on the button and called Collopy's raise to 67,000. He also swiftly called Collopy's 78,000 bet on the {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop.

They both checked the {3-Hearts} turn, but Collopy bet out another 172,000 on the {j-Hearts} river. Hansen called, but couldn't beat Collopy's pocket {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}, and while the stacks are still weighted on the side of Hansen, we've already seen Collopy come back from extreme short-stackage once today against Ram Vaswani, and one should not discount the possibility of another impressive comeback in this match.
