Kuether and His Kings

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Joe Kuether raised to 9,000 from early position and was called by a player in the hijack and Igor Yaroshevskyy on the button. After Kuether checked the {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop the hijack led out for 11,000, which got a fold from Yaroshevskyy and a call from Kuether.

Kuether check-called a bet of 17,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn and both players then checked the {3-Hearts} river. Kuether, first to act, tabled {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and took down the pot. Yaroshevskyy was left short-stacked and busted a few hands later.

River Saves Olisar

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ryan Olisar
Ryan Olisar

After preflop action folded around to Ryan Olisar on the button he shoved he last remaining chips. The player in the small blind folded and Ryan Leng quickly made the call from his big blind. Olisar saw that he was up against a monster but had two live suited cards.

Ryan Olisar: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Ryan Leng: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The dealer spread an action flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, which gave Leng top pair-top quicker and gave Olisar the inside straight flush draw. The {5-Clubs} was of no help to Olisar, but the {4-Hearts} was one of the outs he needed to avoid hitting the rail.

Hall Takes Big Chunk from Pantelic Holding Quad Aces

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Most of the details escaped us but we happened upon the table just in time to see Galen Hall getting paid out by start-of-day chip leader Marko Pantelic.

There was already a considerable amount in the middle and a board reading {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. It looked as if Hall, who had the {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} out in front of him for quads, had his river bet of 129,000 paid off by Pantelic. What the latter held is unknown as his hand had already been mucked.

Whatever the case, that pot thrust Hall into the chip lead here in the closing minutes of Level 14.

Farrell Fiils Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ben Farrell raised to 9,000 from the button and was called by both players in the blinds.

Both players checked to Farrell on the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop, he continued for 9,000 and was called by the big blind player. After the big blind player checked the {9-Spades} turn, Farrell slid out a bet of 19,000. The big blind player re-checked his cards and made the call.

After the big blind player checked a third time on the {3-Clubs} river, Ferrell then bet 32,000, which was enough to get a fold from the big blind player who was relieved when Farrell tabled {k-Hearts}{3-Spades} for the full house, saying he folded two pair.

Yoo Doubles Through Cheong

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Joseph Cheong raised to 12,000 under the gun only to have Yoo Cheng three-bet all in for 46,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Cheong opted to make the call.

Yoo Cheng: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Joseph Cheong: {10-Spades}{7-Spades}

The board ran out a clean {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Cheng stayed alive.
