Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Sung Hyun
Sung Hyun

Sung Hyun opened in the hijack and got action from Matthew Wantman in the big blind. Wantman check-called 160,000 on the {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop and then checked the {q-Diamonds} turn. Hyun bet 350,000 and Wantman jammed. It was about 1.5 million more, and Hyun took a moment then called.

Hyun: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Wantman: {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Wantman had turned a huge draw but missed it on the {9-Clubs} river.

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Will Failla
Will Failla

Will Failla opened and Matthias Auer defended the big blind. Failla continued on the {5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and called all in when Auer check-raised.

Auer: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Failla: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The {a-Clubs} turn sealed it for Failla, and he needed it since the river was the {10-Spades}.

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

David Cabrera Polop raised in the cutoff to 175,000 and Matthew Wantman three-bet to 625,000 in the big blind. Polop peeled and they saw a {2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop. Wantman bet 300,000 and took it down.

Wantman Blasts, Manole Folds

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Matthew Wantman defended his blind against a button raise from Mihai Manole to 200,000 and they checked to the turn on {j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Wantman bet about 180,000 and Manole peeled for the {7-Diamonds} river. Wantman slid in a huge tower that the dealer cut down to 925,000. Manole folded in about 30 seconds.

Adam Hendrix Eliminated in 9th Place ($38,611)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

Adam Hendrix stuck his last 160,000 in from the cutoff. Matthew Wantman dropped in 930,000 in the small blind. Mihai Manole then moved in from the big for about 2 million and Wantman called.

Wantman: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Manole: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Hendrix: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The {k-Spades} was a beautiful door card for Hendrix but it was followed by the {8-Clubs}{q-Spades}. The {6-Spades} turn and {5-Spades} river meant a winning set for Manole and Hendrix was out to force a redraw to the final table.

Hendrix Needs Heat

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Mihai Manole opened in the cutoff for 125,000 and Adam Hendrix called on the button. They checked a board of {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts} until the river, and Hendrix moved all in. He covered Manole's 840,000, and Manole took about a minute then stuck it in.

Hendrix shook his head and tossed {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} in, with Manole turning up {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Hendrix now has the shortest stack by far among the final nine.

Moorman Slides Further

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Sung Hyun in the cutoff and Chris Moorman on the button made it to the river with {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} on the felt. Hyun bet 450,000 into about 600,000. Moorman tanked awhile then slid in what looked like 1,050,000. Hyun called almost immediately.

Moorman showed {5-}{5-} for a set but Hyun had hit a straight with {4-}{4-} on that same card.
