Sowers Sends Two Packing

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

A massive preflop pot built at a table in the corner of the room, with the cutoff all in for about 17,000 and the big blind also all in for about 60,000. James Sowers put them both at risk with {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and was dominating the cutoff's {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and the big blind's {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

The {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} brought nothing to concern Sowers and he dragged the huge pot to stack up near 200,000.

Aido Pays a Double

Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

Danny Wong got his remaining 22,800 in, which was about the size of the pot, from the cutoff on {10-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Big blind Sergio Aido had him at risk from the big blind with a hand we didn't see but was likely well behind as Wont had {a-}{j-} for top two and he doubled up on the {9-Clubs} river.

Ausmus Folds to a Shove

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Jeremy Ausmus was on the button up against the small blind with {10-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} on the board. The small blind thought a long time then shoved for 13,500 or so. That appeared to be less than half of the pot, which contained around 30,000. Ausmus thought about a minute and mucked it.

Depaulo Busts Trudeau

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

With about 18K in the middle, Ryan Depaulo bet 3,500 from early position on {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Jeff Trudeau called in the cutoff and they went to a {9-Clubs} river. Depaulo checked and Trudeau shoved for just 9,000. Depaulo didn't seem excited about it but flicked in a chip to call.

Trudeau just tossed his cards to the muck and Depaulo showed {9-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Blair Survives

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

It looked like Eric Blair got in a three-bet to 5,100 from the big blind against the small blind, who called to see a {10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. The small blind checked, Blair bet 6,000, and the small blind quickly set him in for 7,000 more. Blair called just as quickly.

Blair: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Small blind: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {q-Spades} and {k-Diamonds} runout gave both players straights but Blair's was higher.

Altman Bluffs Some Off

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Tuan Phan checked from early position with about 8,000 in the pot and {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} in the middle. Brian Altman bet 6,000 from the button and Phan called. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Altman bet another 6,000.

Phan didn't seem too happy but tossed in calling chips. Altman revealed {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a bluff and Phan took it with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}.
