Loehnert Wins Flip to Leave Simao Short

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Florian Loehnert opened to 8,000 from middle position, Kitty Kuo called in the hijack, and Joao Simao raised to 45,000 in the small blind. Loehnert jammed, Kuo folded, and Simao called.

Florian Loehnert: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Joao Simao: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The two were flipping and the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop kept Simao ahead. However, the {a-Diamonds} turn vaulted Loehnert into the lead, and Simao couldn't find a two-outer as the {k-Hearts} completed the board to leave him with a short stack.

Liebert Ousted by Cowboys

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

Allan Pock limped in middle position and Kathy Liebert raised to about 45,000 in the small blind, leaving herself with just one orange chip behind. Pock called.

The flop came {q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Liebert check-called off her remaining 1,000.

Kathy Liebert: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Allan Pock: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Liebert needed running cards to stay alive and the {j-Clubs} turn gave her a bit of hope with an open-ended straight draw, but the {6-Clubs} completed the board to send her to the rail and send the chips to Pock.

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Just before the break, a board of {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades} was showing and Bin Weng got the rest of his stack in from the small blind. Joseph Cheong called in the big blind and the hands were revealed.

Bin Weng: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Joseph Cheong: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Weng had flush and straight draws, but he was drawing dead versus the turned boat of Cheong. The meaningless {k-Diamonds} completed the board and Weng was gone from the tournament.

Vanessa Kade

The hijack opened to 6,000, Vanessa Kade called on the button, and the big blind defended.

The {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop was checked around. The {q-Spades} turn saw a check from the big blind and a bet of 14,000 from the hijack. Kade called and the big blind folded.

On the {9-Spades} river, the hijack check-folded to a 10,000 bet from Kade, and she took the pot without a fight.
