Brewer Gets River Fold

Level 11 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

With about 40,000 in the pot and a board of {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Chris Brewer bet 35,000 from middle position and his opponent called in the cutoff.

The {2-Spades} completed the board and Brewer jammed in his 95,000 stack. His opponent tanked for several minutes before tossing his cards into the muck to concede the hand to Brewer.

Lindsay Ousts Opponent With Broadway

Katie Lindsay
Katie Lindsay

Just before the blinds went up, a completed board of {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} was showing and the small blind player bet 43,000 before Katie Lindsay jammed in her stack in the big blind. The small blind player thought about it and ultimately called off his stack for not much more.

Lindsay showed {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for the nuts while her opponent could only show the two remaining tens with the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a flopped set that ended up being no good, and he was sent to the rail.

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Dorian Rios Pavon shoved his last 53,000 and Anthony Marquez was the lone caller.

Dorian Rios Pavon: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Anthony Marquez: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Marquez had what seemed like an insurmountable lead, but the turn {k-Spades} and river {k-Clubs} brought quad kings for Rios Pavon to hit the miracle double.

Brewer Eliminated by Charette

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Chris Brewer got his remaining stack in preflop of about 50,000 in the small blind. Vanessa Kade was in early position and Duff Charette was in the hijack and both players had chips committed to the pot to see a flop.

Kade and Charette both checked the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop and Kade check-folded to a bet on the {9-Hearts} turn.

Chris Brewer: {10-}{10-}
Duff Charette: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Charette was ahead with a pair of queens and stayed ahead on the blank river to knock out Brewer from the tournament.

Vanessa Kade

The hijack opened to 6,000, Vanessa Kade called on the button, and the big blind defended.
