Stout's Ladies Hold Up

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Larry Ormson opened to 1,200 under the gun and picked up three callers along the way, including Kenneth Mckeown from a couple of seats over. Matt Stout squeezed to 6,600 in the small blind and only Mckeown called.

The dealer fanned the flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Stout continued with a bet of 7,000. Mckeown called and the {10-Clubs} landed on the turn. Stout slowed down with a check this time and Mckeown seized the opportunity to bet 11,500. Stout called and the {j-Clubs} paired the board on the river.

Stout checked again and Mckeown instantly checked it back. Stout tabled {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for an over pair and Mckeown conceded the pot.

In a pot of close to 2,500 on a flop of {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, the under-the-gun player checked to Andrew Lichtenberger in middle position who checked back.

The {8-Spades} hit the turn and the under-the-gun player bet out 1,300. Lichtenberger put in a raise to 4,000 and his opponent made the call. On the {q-Clubs} river action checked again to Lichtenberger who tossed out 8,000, which was enough to fold out his opponent and take down the pot.

Big Pots and Baby Carrots

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

James Romero was heads-up in a pot with around 40,000 in the middle already. A completed board of {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} was spread across the felt and the action was checked to Romero on the button.

Romero sized up a bet of 22,000 on the river and his opponent instantly called. Romero flipped over {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a straight while his opponent showed {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

While Romero gathered the pot, he also went face-first into a bag of baby carrots for a post-hand snack. "You gotta put that in there," Mitchell Halverson pointed out.

Patterson's Queens Send Gonzalez to the Rail

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Carla Gonzalez and Tyler Patterson were heads-up in a three-bet pot with around 33,000 in the middle. The board read {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Gonzalez checked to Patterson who shoved all in. Gonzalez called off her last 26,000 chips and the cards were on their backs.

Carla Gonzalez: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Tyler Patterson: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Patterson held the better of the two full houses, leaving Gonzalez drawing to just two outs on the river. It was the {4-Diamonds} on the river and Gonzalez headed to the rail for now.

Liebert Chipping Up

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Kathy Liebert
Kathy Liebert

The action was picked up when an early position player opened to 1,100 and it folded to the hijack who made the call. Kathy Liebert elected on a three-bet to 4,000 on the button and only the initial raiser made the call.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and after being checked to, Liebert continued for the same sizing of 4,000. Her opponent quickly called and the {a-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn.

Once again the early position player checked to Liebert who put the pressure on with a bet of 11,000. Without much thought, her opponent let their cards go and the pot was sent to Liebert.
