Ashdown Takes a Chunk from Failla

Hye Park raised it up from under the gun and picked up four callers along the way. In a five-way pot, the flop came {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Park continued with a bet of 1,500. Harrison Ashdown called on the button and Will Failla came alone from the small blind.

The turn brought the {3-Hearts} and it checked to Ashdown who threw in a bet of 6,000. Failla still called and Park stepped aside. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Failla checked again. Ashdown sized up a bet of 18,000 and Failla went into the tank for a couple of minutes before making the call. Ashdown turned over {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a seven-high straight and Failla mucked his cards.

Greenblatt Puts Lew To The Test

In a five-way pot with just over 6,000 in the middle on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}, all five players checked their options to the {j-Clubs} turn. The big blind and under-the-gun player checked to Alex Greenblatt in middle position who bet out 5,000 and only Robbi Jade Lew called on the button.

The {6-Diamonds} completed the board and Greenblatt sized to 10,500. Lew went in the tank, but after close to 30 seconds, let her hand go and the pot was sent to Greenblatt.

Simpson Picks Up a Pot on the River

After a raise to 1,200 from under the gun, Conrad Simpson called in the cutoff and Kathy Liebert came along from the small blind. The flop came {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and the action checked to Simpson who bet 1,500. Liebert called and the other player came along as well.

The {q-Hearts} landed on the turn and the action checked around to the {10-Hearts} on the river. Simpson fired out another bet of 7,700 on the river which got both of his opponents to fold and Simpson picked up the pot.

The {3-Spades} completed the board and Rolli completed his flush to send Pupillo to the rail for the second time today.

Foutty Hits River To Take From Jones

Daniel Jones opened to 1,200 from the hijack and both Francis Anderson in the cutoff and Stephen Foutty in the big blind made the call.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and all three players checked to the {5-Clubs} turn. Foutty checked again and Jones bet out 2,500. Francis quickly folded and Foutty came along.

The {9-Clubs} hit the river and Foutty checked a third time. Jones took a moment before checking back to a showdown. Foutty rolled over {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for rivered trips and Jones shook his head as he flashed a queen before tossing it into the muck.
