Kumar Turns a Wheel

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Lori Persinger opened to 400 from under the gun and picked up four callers along the way. The flop came {j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Persinger continued with a bet of 800. Gene Quinn called on the button and Madderla Kumar came along in the small blind.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the action checked through to the {2-Clubs} on the river. Kumar led out with a bet of 1,400 and was called by both Persinger and Quinn. Kumar turned over {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for a straight and both of his opponents mucked.

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Andy Frankenberger
Andy Frankenberger

Kenneth O'Donnell opened to 600 from under the gun and it folded to Andy Frankenberger in the small blind who three-bet to 2,000. Robert Armstrong cold-called from the big blind and O'Donnell came along as well.

The flop fanned out {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and all three players checked their options to the {2-Clubs} turn. Frankenberger took the lead with a bet of 3,800, which was enough to fold out Armstrong and O'Donnell to take the pot.

Richardson Scores Knockout Punch On River

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Daemon Richardson opened to 900 from early position and Milorad Stojisavljevic three-bet to 2,000 next to act. It folded to Martin Jacobson in the big blind who cold-called and Richardson put in a four-bet to 11,000. Stojisavljevic quickly five-bet jammed for 27,800 total and Jacobson got out of the way.

"Are there rebuys in this thing?" joked Richardson as he counted out the chips to eventually make the call.

Milorad Stojisavljevic: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Daemon Richardson: {q-Spades}{2-Spades}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Stojisavljevic was still in the lead with ace-high. When the turn came the {10-Spades} Richardson picked up more outs with a flush draw.

"Uh oh," said Richardson as he saw the extra outs he had. The river fell the {2-Hearts} and the rivered pair of twos was enough to score the pot and send Stojisavljevic to the rail.

Guay Runs an Ill-Timed Bluff

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A completed board of {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} was spread across the felt with around 16,000 in the middle. David Guay was first to act from the big blind and shoved all in for his last 22,000.

Peiwen Wang wasted no time flicking in a chip to call and Guay rose from his seat as he tabled {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a bluff. It was bad timing for Guay as Wang flipped over {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for quad sixes to collect a big pot.

Hickey Gets Value With Full House

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

In a heads-up pot with just under 20,000 in the middle on a completed board showing {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, Jason Hickey led out from the small blind for 15,500 and Thao Yang went in the tank in the big blind.

After close to 30 seconds of thought, Yang tossed in chips for the call and was shown the bad news when Hickey rolled over {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for a full house. Yang mucked his cards and the sizable pot was sent to Hickey.

Weng Claims a Controversial Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

There was a raise to 700 in early position and Bin Weng three-bet to 2,300 on his left. The action folded back to the initial raiser who called to see a flop of {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

The dealer thought both players checked and put the {10-Hearts} on the turn. Weng had actually tried to bet 1,700 on the flop and the {10-Hearts} was deemed premature and would be shuffled back in. His opponent called and it was the {9-Clubs} that landed on the turn now.

Weng was faced with a bet of 4,900 on the turn and he called to see the {7-Clubs} on the river. Both players checked and Weng showed {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} while his opponent held {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

"I prefer the natural runout," Weng pointed out because he would have made a straight against his opponent's two pair.

Zanot Over Bets Turn

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

In a heads-up pot with roughly 4,000 in the middle on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Quy Dao checked from the small blind to Thomas Zanot on the button who bet out 2,500. Dao made the call and the {a-Clubs} hit the turn.

Dao checked again and Zanot sized up to 11,000, which was enough to fold out Dao and take down the pot.

Seward Flops a Set to Down Brar

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Jaspal Brar raised to 800 on the button and was called by Nicholas Seward in the small blind. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and both players checked to the {a-Spades} on the turn.

Seward checked again and Brar tossed in a bet of 2,000. Seward check-raised to 8,000 and Brar called to see the {j-Clubs} on the river. Seward jammed all in on the river, putting Brar to the test for his last 32,000 chips. After some thought, Brar decided to flick in the call but Seward showed {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a set of sevens to eliminate Brar.
