Emami Takes Pot Without Showdown

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

In a heads-up pot with 5,600 in the middle on a flop showing {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Amirpasha Emami checked from the big blind over to the cutoff who continued for 2,000. Emami put in a check-raise to 4,000 and the cutoff clicked it back to 9,000, which Emami called.

On the {9-Spades} turn action slowed down with a check from both players to the {4-Spades} river. Emami elected to lead out for a small sizing of 1,600 and his opponent went in the tank. After close to 30 seconds, the cutoff made the fold and the pot was sent to the Canadian.

"I only had a five," said the cutoff as Emami collected the pot.

Chappell Scores with the Ladies

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

There was a raise to 1,600 in early position and Daniel Sepiol three-bet to 4,800 in the cutoff. The button flat-called and Rubin Chappell four-bet shoved all in from the small blind for around 40,000. The initial raiser folded and Sepiol also jammed all in for less. The button thought for a bit as well and laid his hand down, leaving just two players to duke it out.

Daniel Sepiol: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Rubin Chappell: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Chappell's pocket queens were enough to eliminate Sepiol for the second time today.

Rogers Put To The Test With Aces

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Farah Galfond opened to 1,600 from early position and the player in the cutoff made the call. It folded to Leyla Rogers in the small blind who three-bet to 5,500. Galfold folded and the cutoff came along.

The flop fanned out {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Rogers continued for 3,500, which her opponent called. On the {6-Diamonds} turn Rogers kept up the aggression with a bet of 6,000 and again was looked up.

The {7-Spades} completed the runout and Rogers bet 11,000. Her opponent went in the tank and after close to 30 seconds, moved all in for 38,000. Rogers counted her stack and had slightly more chips before eventually tossing them in for the call.

The cutoff rolled over {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a pair of tens that turned their hand into a bluff and Rogers confidently tabled {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} for the winning hand which sent her opponent to the rail.

Yifrach Calls Down for the Win

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On a board of {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, the action was checked to Gal Yifrach on the button who bet 3,500 into a pot of around 5,000. The big blind folded but a player in early position called.

The {j-Hearts} landed on the river and Yifrach was faced with a bet of 10,000 from his opponent. After thinking for a minute, Yifrach reluctantly made the call. His opponent turned over {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks and Yifrach showed {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of aces.

Ashdown's Aces Take Down Rezaei

Lew Picks Up Rockets

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The action was picked up in a pot of just over 20,000 on a completed board showing {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Spades}. Robbi Jade Lew was in the small blind and led out for 10,000. Her opponent in the hijack went in the tank and after close to 30 seconds, tossed in chips for the call.

Lew tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for the ace-high flush while her opponent flashed the {10-Spades} for a flush as well and mucked their hand.

"Didn't have the king of spades under there?" said a tablemate to the hijack player who would've had a straight flush if they held that key card.
