Guay Runs an Ill-Timed Bluff

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A completed board of {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} was spread across the felt with around 16,000 in the middle. David Guay was first to act from the big blind and shoved all in for his last 22,000.

Peiwen Wang wasted no time flicking in a chip to call and Guay rose from his seat as he tabled {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a bluff. It was bad timing for Guay as Wang flipped over {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for quad sixes to collect a big pot.

Richardson Scores Knockout Punch On River

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Daemon Richardson opened to 900 from early position and Milorad Stojisavljevic three-bet to 2,000 next to act. It folded to Martin Jacobson in the big blind who cold-called and Richardson put in a four-bet to 11,000. Stojisavljevic quickly five-bet jammed for 27,800 total and Jacobson got out of the way.

"Are there rebuys in this thing?" joked Richardson as he counted out the chips to eventually make the call.

Milorad Stojisavljevic: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Daemon Richardson: {q-Spades}{2-Spades}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Stojisavljevic was still in the lead with ace-high. When the turn came the {10-Spades} Richardson picked up more outs with a flush draw.

"Uh oh," said Richardson as he saw the extra outs he had. The river fell the {2-Hearts} and the rivered pair of twos was enough to score the pot and send Stojisavljevic to the rail.

Andy Frankenberger
Andy Frankenberger

Kenneth O'Donnell opened to 600 from under the gun and it folded to Andy Frankenberger in the small blind who three-bet to 2,000. Robert Armstrong cold-called from the big blind and O'Donnell came along as well.

The flop fanned out {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and all three players checked their options to the {2-Clubs} turn. Frankenberger took the lead with a bet of 3,800, which was enough to fold out Armstrong and O'Donnell to take the pot.

Kumar Turns a Wheel

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Lori Persinger opened to 400 from under the gun and picked up four callers along the way. The flop came {j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Persinger continued with a bet of 800. Gene Quinn called on the button and Madderla Kumar came along in the small blind.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the action checked through to the {2-Clubs} on the river. Kumar led out with a bet of 1,400 and was called by both Persinger and Quinn. Kumar turned over {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for a straight and both of his opponents mucked.

Zajdner Takes Blind On Blind Battle

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The action folded to Mark Zajdner in the small blind who opened the action to 600 and John Mahler came along in the big blind.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Zajdner continued with a bet of 500, which Mahler called. On the {5-Diamonds} turn Zajdner kept the same size with a bet of 500. Mahler elected on a raise to 1,000 and Zajdner quickly called.

The {q-Clubs} completed the board and both players checked to a showdown. Mahler rolled over {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives, but was no good against the {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for Zajdner that took down the pot.

Boivin's Pair is Best

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Thomas Boivin raised it up on the button and was called by both of the blinds. The flop came {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the big blind led out with a bet of 700. Boivin called and the small blind got out of the way.

The turn brought the {j-Clubs} and the big blind instantly shot out a bet of 1,400. Boivin still called and the {8-Hearts} landed on the river. Both players tapped the table and the big blind showed {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} while Boivin tabled {7-Spades}{4-Spades} to win the pot.
