Esposito Gives Up on the River

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Gal Yifrach limped in from the small blind and Andrew Esposito raised to 65,000 from the big blind. Yifrach just called and they went heads-up to a flop of {j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}.

Yifrach checked to Esposito who continued with a bet of 35,000. Yifrach called and the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn. Yifrach check-called another bet of 90,000 from Esposito.

The river was the {8-Spades} and both players tapped the table. Yifrach turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Esposito conceded the pot.

Anderson Wins a Flip To Eliminate Palma; Jumps Into Chip Lead

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Calvin Anderson
Calvin Anderson

The action folded to the player in the cutoff who opened for 30,000 and Calvin Anderson made the call on the button. Nick Palma moved all in for roughly 260,000 in the small blind and only Anderson made the call to put Palma at risk.

Nick Palma: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Calvin Anderson: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip situation and when the flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, it was even more of a sweat for Palma who picked up a straight draw to go along with his live cards. The turn and river however fell the {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and were no help to Palma as he exited in 62nd place.

Meanwhile on the next hand Anderson was involved again as all the chips went in the middle between him and Marty Mathis. Anderson came out on top and now holds the biggest stack in the room.

Sternberg Pips His Opponent

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

There was a raise to 30,000 in early position and Alan Sternberg reraised to 85,000 next to act. The action folded back to the initial raiser who called to see a flop of {k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Sternberg continued with a bet of 60,000 on the flop and his opponent called. The {6-Clubs} landed on the turn and the action checked through to the {2-Hearts} on the river.

Sternberg was faced with a small bet of 25,000 on the river and he flicked in a chip to call. His opponent turned over {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} but Sternberg had him pipped with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} to claim the pot.

Farahi Runs Into Aces in Massive Pot

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Joseph Sabe
Joseph Sabe

There was a raise to 30,000 and Joseph Sabe three-bet to 125,000 in the small blind. Alexander Farahi four-bet to 275,000 and the action was back on Sabe. He five-bet shoved all in for just over 1,000,000 chips and Farahi instantly called off his stack of around 960,000.

Alexander Farahi: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Joseph Sabe: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

It was the biggest pot of the tournament thus far and Sabe was in a great position to become one of the chip leaders. The flop of {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} gave Farahi some hope but the {4-Hearts} and {j-Spades} runout was no help as Sabe collected a huge mound of chips.

Donovan Coolers Coleman Out of the Tournament

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

David Coleman opened to 30,000 in early position and Zachary Donovan defended from the big blind. The flop came {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Donovan check-called a bet of 60,000 from Coleman.

The {10-Spades} rolled off on the turn and Donovan checked again. Coleman counted out a bet of 150,000 and Donovan still called. The {10-Clubs} paired the board on the river and Donovan checked one more time.

Coleman announced a bet of 350,000 and Donovan shoved all in, putting Coleman to the test for his remaining 260,000 chips. Coleman thought for a bit and eventually called it off. Donovan tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for the second-best full house while Coleman showed {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for a smaller boat as he exited the tournament.

Stepuchin Doubles Up

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

In a heads-up pot with just over 100,000 in the middle on a board showing {k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{q-Spades}, Frank Stepuchin checked from the small blind to the player in the big blind who checked back.

The river came the {5-Clubs} and Stepuchin moved all in for 75,000. After some deliberation, the big blind called and Stepuchin quickly announced "nuts" and rolled over {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for the rivered straight. The big blind flashed {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} before tossing them into the muck and Stepuchin collected the pot.

Vo Gets a Double Through Dyer

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Michael Dyer raised it up on the button and Viet Vo pushed all in for 136,000 in the big blind. Dyer quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

Viet Vo: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Michael Dyer: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

They were off to the races and Vo took the lead on the {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop. The {2-Diamonds} and {2-Spades} runout changed nothing as Vo earned himself a dobule-up.
