Pustina Scores Triple Up

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Vlastimil Pustina open-jammed for 480,000 in early position and Joseph Sabe made the call in the hijack. It folded to Zachary Donovan in the small blind who re-shoved for 3,800,000 and after some thought, Sabe got out of the way.

Vlastimil Pustina: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Zachary Donovan: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

It was a classic flip situation and when the board ran out {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, the nines held up for Pustina to secure the full triple up.

Alex Goulder Eliminated in 25th Place ($24,906)

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Alex Goulder
Alex Goulder

Alex Goulder opened to 80,000 from the hijack and Orestis Kanakopoulos pushed all in for 985,000 in the small blind. The action folded back to Goulder who called off his stack of 960,000.

Alex Goulder: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Orestis Kanakopoulos: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to give both players a little something but it was Kanakopoulos out front with a set of fives. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn gave Goulder a flush but the {2-Hearts} paired the board on the river and Kanakopoulos made a full house.

Ingles One-Ups Anderson

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

In a heads-up pot with close to 250,000 in the middle on a flop showing {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Calvin Anderson led out from the big blind for 120,000 and was called by Pedro Ingles in early position.

On the {6-Spades} turn Anderson slowed down with a check and Ingles took the lead with a bet of 145,000. Anderson pondered for a moment before making the call and the pair saw the {2-Clubs} river.

Anderson quickly checked and Ingles took some time before eventually checking back to a showdown. Anderson rolled over {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} for ace-high but was no good when Ingles tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for ace-high with a jack kicker to take down the sizable pot.

Ingles Clicks It Back

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Yuval Bronshtein raised to 80,000 in the cutoff and Pedro Ingles defended from the big blind. The flop came {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Ingles led out with a bet of 125,000.

Bronshtein raised to 350,000 but Ingles clicked it back to 580,000. Bronshtein gave up the charade as he dumped his cards to the muck and Ingles raked in the pot.

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alex Goulder: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Condon picked up the best hand in poker and when the board ran out {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, the rockets held up to score a full double up off Goulder.

Amirpasha Emami opened to 80,000 from under the gun and Viet Vo shipped all in for just over 200,000 in the cutoff. Andrew Esposito four-bet to 420,000 from the small blind and Emami jammed all in for around 1,500,000 which Esposito snap-called.

Viet Vo: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Amirpasha Emami: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Andrew Esposito: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Vo picked up a pair of queens but was still behind. The {a-Hearts} on the turn gave Esposito a set of aces and the {2-Spades} on the river secured the double knockout.

Zajdner Wins a Crucial Flip

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Vuong Do opened to 80,000 from under the gun and was called by Orestis Kanakopoulos on the button. Mark Zajdner shoved all in for 960,000 in the small blind and Do re-shoved all in, getting Kanakopoulos to fold.

Mark Zajdner: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Vuong Do: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

It was a big coin flip for a healthy-sized pot and the flop of {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} left Zajdner in the lead despite Do picking up some additional outs. The {q-Diamonds} and {2-Diamonds} runout changed nothing and Zajdner doubled up.

Anderson Takes Massive Pot With No Pair

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The action was picked up in a heads-up pot with just over 500,000 in the middle on a board showing {8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Calvin Anderson checked from the small blind to Alex Goulder on the button who bet out 260,000. Anderson took some time, but eventually made the call.

The {7-Clubs} hit the river and Anderson quickly checked over to Goulder who contemplated his options for close to 30 seconds, but in the end tapped the table to a showdown. Anderson rolled over {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} for ace-high and Goulder looked disgusted that he didn't go for it on the river before he tossed his cards into the muck.
