Joe McKeehen, the 2015 World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion, made a splash on Day 1b of the $2,200 6-Max No-Limit Hold'em on Tuesday at the Wynn Millions series.
The $500,000 guaranteed tournament at Wynn Las Vegas brought in 321 entries across two Day 1 starting flights. Calvin Anderson, a top pro with five WSOP bracelets, bagged the biggest stack during the Day 1a flight on Monday. Anderson finished play with 801,000 chips that he will bring back for Day 2 on Wednesday.
That stack size, however, was surpassed on Day 1b by McKeehen, who hit 850,000. The two poker pros weren't the only stars who bagged big on Day 1. James Carroll (754,000), Joe Serock (596,000), and Wynn daily tournament legend Jeremy Becker (575,000) are all among the top stacks.
There are 40 players left heading to Day 2, which starts at noon, all trying to get a piece of that $637,185 prize pool.
