The 2015 World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion bagged the chip lead in the $2,200 6-Max No-Limit Hold'em on Day 1b, while the Day 1a flight of the $400 No-Limit Hold'em, a $150,000 guaranteed tournament, brought out a large field (173 players) with two starting flights still to come.

The tournament area at Wynn Las Vegas will be packed on Wednesday, with Day 1b of the $400 NLH starting at 11 a.m., Day 1 of the $1,100 Seniors NLH (50+) beginning at 11 a.m., Day 2 of the $2,200 6-Max kicking off at noon, and cards in the air for the one-day $500 PLO Bounty at 1 p.m.

Big Names Doing Big Things at Wynn

McKeehen was far from the only big name pro to find bag big in the $2,200 6-Max on Day 1. Calvin Anderson, a five-time WSOP bracelet winner, ended the Day 1a session with 801,000 chips, trailing only McKeehen, who will return for Day 2 with 850,000 chips.

James Carroll (754,000), Darren Rabinowitz (728,000), Joe Serock (596,000), Jeremy Becker (575,000), and Dylan Linde (567,000) are also feeling pretty good entering Day 2.

Over in the $400 NLH, there are some stars battling as well, including David Jackson (444,000) and Ben Palmer (293,000).

$400 NLH Ahead of Pace to Reach $150k Guarantee

The $400 N0-Limit Hold'em event at the Wynn Millions kicked off with Day 1a on Tuesday, and the field is already headed to smash that $150,000 guarantee.

Through one of three starting flights, the prize pool has already hit $57,609 with 173 players registered. Of those players, just 21 bagged chips for Day 2, but no one had a bigger bag than Larry Serebryany who finished the session with 706,000 chips. Ryan Hunsinger was his closest competitor at 608,000.

Day 1b takes place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, with the final starting flight (1c) scheduled for the same time on Thursday at Wynn Las Vegas.

Joe McKeehen, the 2015 World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion, made a splash on Day 1b of the $2,200 6-Max No-Limit Hold'em on Tuesday at the Wynn Millions series.

The $500,000 guaranteed tournament at Wynn Las Vegas brought in 321 entries across two Day 1 starting flights. Calvin Anderson, a top pro with five WSOP bracelets, bagged the biggest stack during the Day 1a flight on Monday. Anderson finished play with 801,000 chips that he will bring back for Day 2 on Wednesday.

That stack size, however, was surpassed on Day 1b by McKeehen, who hit 850,000. The two poker pros weren't the only stars who bagged big on Day 1. James Carroll (754,000), Joe Serock (596,000), and Wynn daily tournament legend Jeremy Becker (575,000) are all among the top stacks.

There are 40 players left heading to Day 2, which starts at noon, all trying to get a piece of that $637,185 prize pool.

Serock and Land Win Big at Wynn Millions

Wynn Millions
Wynn Millions

The Wynn Millions, running from February 16 through March 22, is now in full swing. On Monday, February 23, two more champions were crowned: Joseph Serock took down the $10,500 NLH PKO, while Matthew Land secured a six-figure score in the $600 NLH event.

Meanwhile, the $2,200 event bagged for Day 2 with a stacked field returning, led by five-time WSOP bracelet winner Calvin Anderson atop the chip counts.

Serock Tops Star Studded Field

The $10,500 NLH PKO Bounty event drew a modest field of 19 players, but it featured some of the best high-stakes talent in the game. Notable names who failed to cash — but still collected bounties — included Anatoly Nikitin ($2,000), Jeremy Becker ($2,000), João Simão ($7,000), Sam Soverel ($5,000), and Alex Foxen ($6,000).

With just 19 entries, only three players made the money. Joseph Serock ultimately claimed the title, with Dylan Linde being eliminated in third place, before Serock defeated Neil Warren heads-up to secure the victory.

Matthew "Chase" Land Achieves New High Score

In the $600 NLH $500,000 Guaranteed event, the massive field of 1,286 entries smashed the guarantee and created a $655,860 prize pool. When the dust settled, Matthew Land emerged as the champion, topping the stacked field to earn $104,654 — the biggest score of his career. Runner-up Phat Nuon took home $71,490, with Marios Savvides finishing third for $54,755.
