Sunday, June 7, at the Wynn Summer Classic marks a change in pace. After a big week of no limit hold'em events — including the $1.5 million guaranteed $1,100 No Limit Hold'em event — the action is switching to pot limit Omaha for a day.
The first event of the day is an $1,100 buy-in pot limit Omaha event with a $200,000 guarantee. Play begins at midday, with late registration scheduled to run until around 4:30 p.m.
If that event doesn't work out, there's a second shot at a four-card payday with an $1,100 pot limit Omaha turbo event starting a few hours later at 6:00 p.m.
Due to the faster blind schedule, this event's late registration is only open for three hours, closing at around 9:00 p.m.
If you're over 50 years of age and not a huge fan of PLO anyway, there is also a satellite to the $5,000 Seniors NLH 50+ event. The Seniors event starts on June 8, so the satellite will be one of the last chances to win a seat on the cheap.
The satellite has a buy-in of $600, a prize pool guarantee of 10 seats (worth $50,000), and a start time of 2:00 p.m. local time. Late registration closes around 5:00 p.m. local.
