The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour (EPT) launched its first season in September of 2004 in Barcelona, Spain. The EPT season begins with the event in Spain and finishes with the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo. In between, there are stops around the continent and the Caribbean Poker Adventure in Aruba. On the EPT schedule are events in London, Copenhagen, San Remo, Dortmund, Prague, Warsaw and Budapest.
EPT has the richest prize pool in Europe and largest winning share for any tournament outside of Las Vegas. The steadily growing interest in the game has added to the size of the fields and skill of the players as the EPT continues to flourish. You can follow the players around the European Poker Tour right here on PokerNews.com.
Barcelona is one of the most exciting destinations you’ll find on the international tournament circuit and from September 4 through 9, 2009, the European Poker Tour is returning there for the sixth year in a row to host the EPT Barcelona Open.
