Las Vegas poker is entering a high-octane season this spring, with casinos updating their cash game policies and tournament poker festivals. While the Bellagio Poker Room is fundamentally shifting the math of its daily cash games, its sister property, ARIA, is preparing for the return of one of the summer’s most anticipated tournament series.

Whether you are a cash game grinder or a tournament specialist, the latest updates from MGM Resorts’ premier poker rooms are set to redefine the action on the Strip.

Bellagio Levels Up: New Buy-In Caps

Effective April 13th at 8:00 AM, the Bellagio is officially increasing the buy-in limits for its two most popular No-Limit Hold’em tiers. These changes are designed to encourage deep-stack play, providing players with more chips to navigate complex post-flop scenarios.

The updated structures are as follows:

  • $1/$3 NLH: The new buy-in range is $100–$500
  • $2/$5 NLH: The new buy-in range is $200–$1,000

The new cap on the $2/5 game is now $1,000, or 200 big blinds. With the ability so sit with more chips, play tends to involve more strategy, reducing the "lottery" feel of short-stack poker and rewarding skill.

Big Poker Festivals Coming at the ARIA

As the Bellagio updates its cash game offering, the ARIA Poker Classic is officially appearing on the horizon. There are plenty of casino games on offer at a venue such as the ARIA, but the beloved poker series returns from May 27th to July 12th, offering a massive slate of tournaments for those looking to turn a modest buy-in into a life-changing payday.

To kick off the excitement, a massive Freeroll Tournament will be held on May 30th at the ARIA poker room.

The top 10 finishers will walk away with a seat to the $3,500 BetMGM Championship.

How to Qualify for the BetMGM Championship

The path to the freeroll is open to dedicated players at both Bellagio and ARIA. Between April 13th and May 21st, players can earn their seat by meeting one of two criteria:

  • Live Play: Clock 100 hours of live cash game play.
  • Tournament Entries: Record 25 tournament entries.

The best part for regulars? You can qualify at ARIA, Bellagio, or a combination of both. This cross-property qualification allows players to enjoy the newly deepened cash games at Bellagio while working toward a championship seat at ARIA.
